Why is Hulu saying I have an anonymous proxy service?

How can I make Hulu use my proxy?

After upgrading to a new computer, Hulu has been telling me that I have anonymous proxy service when I go to Hulu. My Windows 7 Ultimate machine is set up with Internet Explorer 11, with the Proxy settings at automatic.

This happens on all computers I have and run Hulu Desktop on, including my own MacBook and my Dad's Lenovo X1 Carbon. When I open the Hulu Desktop application, it will say that there's anonymous proxy service, but I'm not sure how to turn it off or get Hulu to use my proxy instead. How do I fix this? Answer. Answer: Hulu Desktop doesn't work on my new laptop. In order to make Hulu Desktop work on your laptop, you'll need to install Google Chrome. Then Hulu Desktop will work on your laptop just fine.

I had to install Google Chrome on my MacBook because Hulu Desktop is just for the PC version of Hulu. The other option would be to install another browser (ie Chrome) on your laptop.

How do I fix anonymous proxy detected?

I'm trying to resolve a problem with a website that is requiring me to login before I can view the content.

It detects that I'm using anonymous proxy and redirects me to (I have removed the code that has been used). I've tried changing the settings of firefox and chrome but nothing seems to work. The only way to make it work is if I disable javascript. How do I stop it from detecting I'm using anonymous proxy? This website does not work with regular anonymous proxies (ie not using a Tor circuit). To get this website to work you need to use a Tor exit relay.

How do I get around Hulu proxy?

I have a VPN on my PC and am able to connect to Hulu.

Com just fine. But I would like to be able to stream my live TV from my network to my Apple TV, but I keep getting an error saying the proxy server is not available. I am using a Roku stick and have no problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First, you need to find out what your local DNS server is. In Windows, go to Start > Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings. If your cable provider provides DNS servers, make sure that the DNS servers that you use in the IP address that you are attempting to access Hulu with are the DNS servers provided by the cable company.

If you are still having issues, please post the output of ifconfig -a. Thanks for the reply. I can get to Hulu without the VPN, and with it I can get to my Roku stick and everything else that I need. I am just trying to get Hulu to work with the VPN.

I did some digging and it seems that the proxy settings are the same on the TV as they are on my PC. I even tried using the proxy settings from my TV to see if it would work. I don't understand why it wouldn't work.

I don't know why Hulu isn't working for me. I am able to connect to all the other sites that I want to access. Just not Hulu.

When I access the site on my computer, the window pops up and says "The proxy server is not available." Then when I click OK it shows this error: "There was a problem communicating with the remote server" and "The proxy server is not available."

I don't know if it's the router or the TV, but I do have an IP address. I checked that on my computer.

I have a similar problem. I'm using a 3rd party VPN app on my Mac (VyprVPN) and it connects fine, but when I try to access Hulu it says "The proxy server is not available" and won't let me proceed.

I also tried changing the proxy settings on my Mac's network settings, but that didn't work either.
