Thanks for this information. It's been years since I've had problems with the Roku that I need to solve. I just wanted to connect two ruskies together and was told by my Roku rep that you have to go to the netflix website to download the software. That doesn't make sense to me.

I recently started playing on my firetv and there doesn't seem to be any way to log on via the rusks or through the netflix website. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If that is what you have to do, then I guess that isn't an issue for me.

That will be true for my Roku 4k. The Roku app will sync at the top of the menu which I find easier than going thru to the 'play' section on the Roku device itself. And when I do have to go thru play it shows up as a device name under the top menu in apps. If I go to the main app screen I see an entry in apps, yet I go thru the play section and it works.

We've already tried to sync with Amazon Fire Tv and it's not working. There must be something else to do. The reason I want to update my new Roku is because we have tried to use it with the old one and no joy.
