How do I show VPN on my iPhone status bar?

I'm not sure what's going on with the network status on my iPhone (6). I have a VPN on and when I first got it working, it showed on the status bar. I then turned off the VPN and it is no longer showing up. It doesn't show up in the top left corner either.

I have the same problem. I have an iPad 2, iOS 7. I also have the VPN app installed and it's always saying the VPN is "Off". I have it set to "On" in the VPN app, but it still says "Off" in the status bar.

I'm having the same issue. I just activated a VPN connection for my phone (iPhone 6) and it shows up on the status bar for a short time, but then disappears. I've tried resetting the VPN connection and also restarting my phone.

I'm using Ubuntu 14.04, I connect to my VPN using Network Manager. It was working until I upgrade to 14.10, Now everytime I disconnect I have to restart my system to see VPN connection status in the network bar. I found a couple of links which explain why this is happening but I'm not sure if there is any way to change my VPN status.

You don't show the wifi icon, it's a panel applet icon. AFAIK there is no easy way of getting the status back. You need to add the right applet (NetworkManager applet) to the panel and configure the applet to show VPN connections. Here's how:

How do I remove VPN configuration from Mac menu bar?

I have configured VPN profile in my MacBook Pro (OS X 10.8.4), everything was done successfully and I can connect to VPN profile via Network Preferences.

Problem: However, I'm having a problem with my Mac menu bar. There's a sub-menu on the menu bar named VPN, which contains "Auto Config", "Turn VPN On/Off" and "Disconnect".

The VPN configuration seems to be permanent, I can't find where it's configued to remove it. I don't want my Mac automatically connect to VPN when I leave my house.
