Is Netflix blocking Surfshark?

Why is Surfshark blocking my internet without VPN?

After my post about Surfshark blocking my internet connection I received a lot of questions.

To answer those I have set up a video to show you exactly what I did and how I get around the problem.

I do not want to use a VPN, since I do not trust them and most of the time they are just a way for companies to track their users. But more on that later.

Since my internet is not blocked by Surfshark, it's obvious something else is going on. The only thing I can think of is that Surfshark is somehow blocking my internet from reaching the VPN server.

Before you read on let me warn you that this is going to be a long one and a lot of information might get lost in the process. The Setup. Before I begin I would like to clarify a couple of things about the setup. I am using a WAN network connection with my router. This means I connect to the router using a LAN connection and it then connects to the internet using a WAN connection. This is a very common setup and most router manufacturers recommend it.

My router is a TP-Link R600. I have a TP-Link Archer T2 AC wireless router which can act as a WiFi access point or a client and a wired Ethernet connection to my modem. To test my internet connection I use Miro. It's a great web browser.

If I leave Miro open in the background it does not take up much resources. I also have a second computer in the living room where I test my connection regularly. It does not need to be connected to the internet, but I just like to use it as a second control. I have both computers connected to the same router. I don't know if this makes a difference, but I have the router plugged into an electrical outlet directly on the wall. I also have an ethernet cable running from the wall to the router.

I use a cable modem. I bought this modem a while ago when I first got the internet at home and it's still working fine. I also have a USB power adapter. This is connected to the same electrical outlet as the router. There is also a little switch on the back of the router.

Why does Surfshark not work on Chrome?

I really like Surfshark VPN, and it has been working really well for me for several months. However, I just tried to open it today, and it opens, but the interface is totally blank. If I click on the "Log in" button at the top, I get the following error: Unable to display webpage: The page could not be loaded. A lot of people are having this issue, but the Surfshark forums seem to be very quiet. Does anyone know how to fix this? UPDATE: I have just discovered that if I do not go directly to the Surfshark website, but instead go to the site first, I can see the Surfshark website. So I'm guessing it has something to do with that? I can't believe that after all of these years, you finally got your hands on the Surfshark, but it looks like you have a problem. If you are visiting their website, you may not get the Surfshark page, you may get some strange page that looks like this: In order to get the Surfshark page, you have to type into your web browser's address bar. You should be able to get Surfshark to open then.

I am not sure what else to do. I was able to log in fine once, but now I cannot, and have no idea why it did not work. It just seems to have a very short lifetime, but I am grateful for whatever it is that it provides.

I just checked to see if it had just been down for me or just for some people, and the site seems to be up, so this is definitely not just me. I will try to get a hold of someone at Surfshark and ask them if they have any idea what is going on.

Update: I just got an email from Surfshark saying that they have a temporary problem, but the site should be back up soon. They also said that they will send out a reminder email to all users in the next few days. Hopefully that is the problem and they will be back up soon.

I'm trying to figure out if this is actually a problem or if it's just some weird thing that I am doing.

Why is Surfshark not connecting?

Is it simply an issue of Surfshark not having a good Internet connection at that location?

We did send them another email, but the reply was that the site was very busy, and they could not see what we sent. I am trying to get a more detailed answer for my client. I would greatly appreciate your help! Thanks!

I've had no success contacting them, but I have a new client who seems to be having trouble connecting as well. Her website was recently moved from our previous hosting server to a new one, and she's not been able to connect since moving. Her browser keeps showing a "500 Internal Server Error" when trying to load any of her pages. She had a couple of emails with no response to their customer service team. She contacted me this morning, and is still waiting for answer. If she can't access her own website, then the only option I have for her right now is to use a free webhosting solution.

Hi, we are trying to set up a surfshark account for our client. We're still in the signup process, and we have a few questions. When do you want us to submit our personal information? Our personal information must be completed before we can create our account, so how can we request your personal information at another time?

Sorry for the late reply, but I have no idea about the Surfshark sign up process. The reason we are needing your personal information is to create a password. Surfshark can only be accessed by the first name and last name that you provided on the account sign-up form. There is nothing else that is needed until the Surfshark account is created. Once the account is created, you will then be able to additional names to the account, such as your wife, husband, etc. And each name will have its own username and password. This way, if someone uses the account, they will only be able to use it from their own device, and won't have access to any of your devices or devices that you may have access to.

I have found that some Surfshark accounts work for a couple days and then they stop working. It seems that they have an issue with the login process. The only way to get around this is to create a new account, and then move your sites and e-mail to the new account.

Is Netflix blocking Surfshark?

I have an account with Netflix.

When I go to surfshark, I get an error saying: "You don't have permission to view this content". Also, the surfshark icon is not on my account page. What can I do? Netflix is a member of the Hachette Filipacchi Publishing Group which is a media holding company. They control the streaming service from Amazon which controls the Netflix streaming service and the book service from Amazon which controls the ebook service.

They have exclusive rights to content which you purchased or were loaned or have a physical copy of which prevents it from being accessed in most digital bookstores. So what you're experiencing is a conflict between the rights holder, the book publisher (if that's the case) and the streaming service. There are two ways around this: Make sure you're purchasing content directly from the streaming service. Get a new IP address by resetting your router if you're using one.
