To unsubscribe from all mailing lists on the website, click on the "Unsubscribe" link in the footer of any email you receive.

What is IPVanish? IPVanish is a virtual private network (VPN) service provider. You can use the free IPVanish app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices, Android and Windows 7/8/10 desktops to connect to an IPVanish VPN server. The app allows you to access the internet through a secure VPN connection and browse the web privately.

What is a VPN? A VPN encrypts your data and routes it to the internet via a VPN server in a different location. This gives you the ability to unblock websites that require a VPN connection.

Why should I use a VPN? It is always safer to go through a VPN to the internet. Your information is encrypted and routed through a VPN server in a different location, making your identity anonymous and hiding your traffic.

What is the difference between a VPN and proxy server? A VPN encrypts your traffic while a proxy server routes it to the internet. What is Tor? Tor is an open source network that allows you to browse the web without being tracked. When you connect to a website via Tor, your traffic is routed through a large number of randomly selected servers across the world, creating a false location for your traffic.

You can log in to the IPVanish interface by entering your email and password in the login boxes. If you don't remember your username or password, please click the "Forgot Password" link at the top of the login screen. If you are still having issues logging in, please send us a note with your order number and the details of your issue to support@ipvanish.com

How do I change my address? Login to your IPVanish account. Once you are logged in, click on "My Account". Your address will be listed as the first tab. You can change your address by clicking on "Address Change" and entering your new address in the fields provided.

How do I get a new IP address from IPVanish? The last tab on your account is "My IP Address". You can change your IP address by clicking on "Change IP Address".

What are the different IP addresses and how do I use them? IPVanish offers two types of addresses, Public and Private. Public addresses are available to all subscribers who have a valid IPVanish account. Private addresses are accessible only by the account holder who owns the address.

Private IPs are assigned to customers for their own internal use. Private IP addresses are not visible to the public, but are accessible through the VPN connection. When connected to the IPVanish network, a private IP address looks like any other IP address, but it is actually assigned to the user by the service provider.

Public IP addresses are assigned to customers to enable them to connect to the Internet with their devices. When connected to the IPVanish network, public IP addresses will appear to be any other IP addresses that are not in the IPVanish network. Public IPs can be shared among multiple users when connected to the VPN.

How do I get a refund from IPVanish?

There is no automated process that allows IPVanish refunds.

When it's time to renew your VPN, you can submit a one-time refund request which can be submitted via the Customer Service section of your account dashboard. When you use our Reset Account button to request your refund, you will be presented with the following screen:

IPVanish provides an important security service and they are aware of their responsibility as this is reflected in our Privacy Policy. Therefore, a refund request can only be submitted within the first year of your current VPN subscription. However, you have seven days to make your request and we recommend submitting your refund request as soon as possible. You will receive an email response from us informing you of the amount you will be refunded.

We would like to provide our customers with the highest level of support possible. Therefore, it is very important that any issues are resolved as quickly as possible so that they do not delay your daily usage of IPVanish. In the event of any such issues and requests for a refund, we recommend contacting your support agent immediately and being sure to include all the necessary information about your IPVanish VPN package and subscription ID. Any unqualified attempts at refunds by non-support members of the IPVanish community will automatically be rejected as they are unqualified refund requests.

My subscription is past the end of its term. Can I still get a refund? Unfortunately, unless there is fraud or misrepresentation on your part, we are unable to give back-refunds after your subscription has ended. IPVanish renewals only allow refunds if requested before the end of your next term. You will need to speak to your IPVanish representative to submit a request for a refund.

How can I cancel my VPN subscription? Subscriptions cancelled through your IPVanish account remain active indefinitely and expire after the last day of the following month. If you wish to cancel your IPVanish subscription and have your account cancelled, you will need to contact IPVanish Customer Support and submit a cancellation request in your account dashboard.
