Where is screen time in Android phone?

Is screen time really helpful? It's a great idea, but is it a problem for my kids when I limit their access? We have a Samsung Ativ S-500 with Android 2.3.5 and the latest CyanogenMod 11 on it.

My youngest just got an iPhone 3G for his birthday. I can only assume he is one of the lucky ones who is allowed to have it as his birthday gift. Does anyone know how I can limit his access to the games on it? I'm going to try to buy a game card for him so that he can't play the games without paying. But it seems like a lot of effort to go through all of this for the sake of maybe a half hour of screen time each week. I'd appreciate any suggestions.

My son will turn 6 in April. My parents bought me a new iPhone 4. I haven't yet downloaded the ScreenTime app. Has anybody had problems with kids going into their applications?

I have two nieces (ages 8 and 10) that do not get access to smartphones. I don't plan on downloading the screen time app on my 4S because of that. They already seem to be addicted to the phone. I do let them use the iPad when we go to the Apple Store or someplace where they are allowed to use an iPad. It's a good tool for teaching responsibility to kids.

But I find myself being the constant monitor of my nieces. If I want to use my phone for awhile and let my sister or another adult help me out, I can do it. They aren't allowed to use my phone at any point in time and will only be given a phone for special occasions.

I also let my son borrow my iPhone 4 once a week to play with his friends. That is about it with the device. He has to ask my permission and I have to set up the schedule with him before allowing him to use it.

Does screen time have a widget?

Hey guys, i've seen a lot of people mention watsapp, facebook, twitter, etc as widget for the desktop version of xfce.

Is this possible to use with the screen time addon? If so how can I go about doing this? Re: Scree time has a widget? Hi, yes, the widget is not included in the Xfce 4.10 version of Screen Time. This is planned to be added in the Xfce 4.12 version.

If you want to follow progress of the widget, the best way to do this is to subscribe to the Xfce-related mailing lists. Please consider subscribing to the xfce-devel list, as it includes updates about the Screen Time feature and other related features. You can also follow the progress in the screen time-devel list.

Is there a screen time widget for Android?

I don't want something that takes up space on the notification bar.

Or am I out of luck and have to live with a broken home screen?

If you use a rooted phone, you can install an app called Smart Screen, which is exactly what it sounds like. It allows you to blacklist apps and prevent them from starting at all if they are over certain time limits. This will not affect the notification bar for the most part (it may hide the clock/widget screen entirely) but it does limit screen usage. The downside is that it does require root access.

The Google Play Store actually has a widget you can set to display the total amount of time each day that the device's been turned on and then show a red "warning" message after that amount of time. I think there is also a way to force widgets to show if they're placed under the status bar (which it sounds like yours is); if you've got such a thing where you don't want to see the time (it's not for me so I don't know).

There's many available apps that are similar to Smart Screen. Some free and some are ad based.

Here's one of the best ones I've found.
