Are there any free proxy servers?

Hi all. How much is a good proxy buffering usually? I looked at the prices on poernt.com.

What's your opinion on the best proxy server software? I started using the Proxifier and it works very well, but is there anything else out there that would better suited for an average user? I'm not fond of using paid proxies for several reasons. I've had a bad experience with using one when testing a site with firebug recently. They'll never give you the same IP you have in your browser. Plus if you're using "as little as possible" as far as bandwidth goes, sometimes they throttle you at the other end. I'm hoping someone can answer the other part of your question, but for the sake of simplicity, here's what I'd recommend.
