How do you make a link clickable on iMessage?
How to make clickable links in iMessage.
I just got this text from my wife on my iPhone. She's trying to show me how to make clickable links in iMessage, but it's giving me some trouble.
I've been to the Apple Help site, but I'm having a hard time finding the solution. I'm pretty sure that it's somewhere in there. My husband and I have been talking for a while about the idea of making links clickable on iMessage. That would be great. So I don't have to type out the URL for each link.
Do you know how to do it? If so, please let me know. Thank you! I was having a similar issue with my wife. I sent her an iMessage which included a link (to google). I would open up a web browser, go to the link, click it and it would open up the page in Safari.
We did not want to force her to use the web browser on her iPad. She is used to using her phone for everything so she was fine with the iMessage. But she wanted to open the link in Safari if possible. We did a little research on Google and found that we can change the "open in" option in iMessage. You can change the option so it opens up the web browser instead of the browser on your iPhone.
1) Open the Messages app on your iPhone.2) Tap the "Message" icon in the top left corner.3) Scroll down and select the "Settings" icon.4) Tap the "Options" icon in the upper right corner.5) Scroll down and tap the "More.6) Tap the "Edit Link Text" option.7) Change the setting so that it says "Open in".8) Tap the "OK" button.9) Send your message and verify the link is now clickable.
If it didn't work, you can always tap the "back" button in the upper left corner of the screen and go back to the settings screen. You can then change the setting so that the link is opened up in the web browser.
How do I enable links in text Messages?
I had an old phone with text messages that did not display as links on my iPhone 6S Max.
Now, I've bought a new one and have a brand new phone that shows links properly. It's pretty much the same as the old one. I've already tried restoring the settings, but the same thing happens. Help please!
The easiest way to do this is to make sure the people you are communicating with have Link Check turned on their phone and then tap "Show Links" from the contact info screen or long press on a message you want to send a URL. Or choose Linked if you're sending a link for the person to click on if they have Link Check turned on.
1 Answer.
Tap links in your text messages (when replying or sending a text), and a preview pane will appear which shows links with icons. You can select any of them by tapping and holding on it and then drag up or down to re-order them within the conversation.
If there are no shortcuts available, then you can long press on links to reveal an additional menu in which you can edit shortcuts. To change the "show links" setting in iOS 12 and older, go to Settings > Messages > Default and tap on "Show Link Previews".
You can also enable "Show Links" or "Show Link Previews" for every chat for all outgoing and incoming messages (you'll see the relevant pop-up menu button in the top left corner of the chat screen). Thanks for the prompt reply. Unfortunately, they're still not appearing correctly. My old phone's phone number went dead so I thought I might be using some kind of messaging app, so I looked at this thread which says to uninstall "WhatsApp Messenger", so I removed it, then rebooted to make sure I wasn't using it and rebooted again. Then reinstalled WhatsApp Messenger and tried it again, but the "linking" didn't work right.
Why can't I open links from Messages?
I know that when you send a Message with the link in it, it actually gets.
forwarded. You can access that from the inbox and click the message-icon, but there's no way to see that link at all. Even if you do open up a list of messages, there's no way to view a message directly. From the list. If I look under the list item for a Message that has a link, I don't see any. Link. Why is there no way to open it? If you have a lot of Message conversations going on, and one of them has a. Link that you want to view, you'll need to go through them one by one until. You find it.
