What is the most-watched film in every country? The answers to these questions are surprisingly surprising. ? Netflix has now become so ubiquitous that we often take it for granted. But according to the research firm Statista, it is actually the UK that has the largest Netflix library. It boasts 19.1 million subscribers in the country.

However, Germany is the country with the second-biggest Netflix library, followed by France and Sweden. Where can I watch the most obscure films? I have been curious about this question ever since I first heard about it, so I decided to do some research on my own. I asked three people (myself, a friend and a colleague) to name their 10 favorite movies. Their lists were as follows:

The Matrix. Reservoir Dogs. Fargo. Pulp Fiction. All Quiet on the Western Front. Thelma & Louise. The Usual Suspects. Blue Velvet. The Royal Tenenbaums. The Departed. The only country where all three lists had similar order was Norway, and the only country with the same number of films on each list was Norway. So it seems that Norwegian Netflix users are the best at finding obscure films, especially for American movies. What is the most-watched film in every country? According to The Atlantic, the film that tops the charts in all countries is the comedy-drama Get Out, which was released in February 2024 and has been seen in more than 200 million households worldwide. The next most-watched film in every country is the sci-fi film Blade Runner, which was released in October 1982. It has been seen in over 100 million households worldwide.
