Does LG Smart TV have a VPN?
I just read this article and got to think.
LG Smart TV has a built in Netflix. So this is kinda interesting. Now I had no idea that they had an app or could stream. I figured they played games or something on them but did not expect anything like streaming. Then this came out. Now we can stream it from different areas of the country. They really need to put out the app so the service isn't so sketchy.
I thought the first thing we should ask though, does LG has a VPN or not. I believe that if someone has a VPN, the service will still be sketchy, because when people want to download or stream, all Netflix, Hulu, all your streaming needs, a VPN isn't for you. I guess its not for most people. If LG did have a VPN, which I don't really think they would have. I think it's too costly and that someone would not have a good reason for it.
And what VPN do they use? Does they use Nordvpn. Also I've used them myself but it's always more secure if I encrypt the data as it goes through. And then also they should offer a premium service that requires a subscription.
A lot of these products are only useful if you've paid enough money for their hardware (and there are a lot of these). The other issue here is that most consumer-oriented smart TVs won't get apps until they're a long time and/or money into releasing software. They may start with some basic applications - not very advanced - and slowly add on more. The more they add, the more likely they will be to add on advanced features. For example: Netflix and Google Play Music have been offered since release of first generations, and that was quite a while ago. I'm sure LG are already working on a 4K version.

What is the difference between basic VPN and LG VPN?
Can they be used together?
In this blog post, I will explain the difference between LG VPN, basic VPN and how they can be used together. ? For the purpose of this blog post, let's take a practical example of connecting to a basic VPN (using an application like Google Chrome or Firefox). Let's say you are using your internet connection from home. You want to connect to the internet from work but your office network is blocking all traffic to the internet except for the traffic from that specific office network.
If you use a basic VPN, you are using a VPN service which allows you to connect to your home network while being in another location. The server you connect to will then establish a secure VPN connection for you. The server will typically use a remote access protocol like VNC or RDP.
In contrast to a basic VPN, LG VPN is a virtual network connection inside your home network. A virtual network connection allows you to use your home network as if it were located in a different place. The virtual network connection is just as secure as a VPN connection you would establish from outside your home network.
So, if you use an LG VPN service, you can connect to the internet from work and your office network will not see that you have connected to the internet. They won't be able to sniff your traffic or block it.
How to setup a basic VPN connection from your mobile phone. The easiest way to get started with a basic VPN is to use an application that offers this type of VPN. The easiest to use such application is Google Chrome.
Using Google Chrome, connect to a website like This website has a basic VPN setup to connect to their office network. You can see in the Network Connection information panel in Chrome that I am using a VPN connection from my mobile device.
I can select the location where my mobile device is currently connected to. This setting will be used when I use the VPN connection in the future.
I can also use my VPN connection by selecting the Use a new connection to option. You can check the current VPN connection status by clicking the menu icon in the top right corner of the application window.

You're not always sure if someone has or is spying on you.
It happens, especially as you don't check your browsing or online activity all the time.
But how do you know for sure if somebody is watching? One of the easiest ways would be to see what sites you look at on your personal device. Most of us now carry an always on device that keeps you connected (tablet, smartphone, etc.).
In order to see if somebody might be spying on you, just simply try to visit another country website on your phone and you'll find out in a few seconds if your connection was lost. Most mobile connections are only available in certain countries, but nowadays a growing number of service providers offer internet services in any country. The same holds true for smart TVs. The TV world has grown ever larger over the past years. This means that smart TVs can be found almost anywhere, from your own living room, a caf, to anywhere in the world.
They make perfect targets for surveillance, but also enable anyone to get into your home and steal your passwords (just by watching TV). Luckily, these TVs can be tricked into thinking they're somewhere else. So you can connect it to a computer, and from there, download your browser and spy software to view everything you do on it. How to change the DNS provider on a smart TV. All internet traffic goes via the Domain Name System (DNS) to find the address of a website. DNS servers map internet addresses to locations by translating them to IP addresses.
For example, the Google website will look for Google.com or Windows should look for windows.
But your TV is likely still using a third-party DNS server to work with. This means it doesn't actually go to Google, it goes to the VPN DNS server, and gets redirected to the original search. By changing the DNS to our own VPN server, your TV gets redirected through ours instead and everything looks normal again. You can make these changes manually, or you can use one of our smart TV DNS servers. Below we've listed our Top 7 DNS servers that you can use in any SmartTV platform.
