How do I connect my Psiphon to my computer?

To connect Psiphon to your computer, please download the installer. If you have not already downloaded an earlier version of the game for free, we recommend that you do so now. This version of the game is named "Panther", whereas other versions may be named "Panther 1.9 or similar". Check that the one you download really does identify itself as "1.9". A newer version of this game might only be labeled as "Panther" and could contain bugs that may not be fixed if the new version has not been tested against the previous version.

What is the proxy setting for Psiphon?

We want to use a non-cached proxy but Psiphon doesn't seem to want that.

Is there something we can do about it? Also, does this only apply to Psiphon Pro as I was planning to have Psiphon Lite installed on another PC? What we expect: Psiphon Lite to work without connection to the proxy.Psiphon Pro to work with a preconfigured local (non-cached) proxy. What happens when you start Psiphon Pro with an already configured local proxy in the Settings app?Psiphon Pro to work with a preconfigured local (non-cached) proxy.

I have also installed Psiphon Lite with Psiphon Lite Pro and had no issues. In Psiphon Pro, I used to select proxy settings during startup but I see no such option here after installation. I was hoping that proxy settings will be set as part of first time login.

In case you have not read my other reply there is no workaround unless you have Psiphon with direct access to the Internet by setting proxy in Psiphon settings. It works just fine.

By default psiphon uses a random proxy from your list. You should only use a preset proxy there and set manual proxy settings, then start Psiphon in order to use this configured proxy for all the internet connections to which it refers.

I do not think you have to install anything additional or even configure the proxy settings any more because it worked in the previous version with a little bug, it will try to use the proxy and fail once every x minutes so you will quickly get prompted for new settings again. But I am not entirely sure about that since I did not play with your Psiphon before. So try it and see for yourself.

Also you may have some kind of firewall settings which might block outbound traffic to any random IP address, you can set a specific IP which will solve this. If you are not afraid of getting banned, I guess it is not much of a risk.

Psiphon is built with multiple types of networking.

What is the default port for Psiphon?

It's not a specific port, but it has a default port. That's what we're always referring to.

There are a few ports and one of those is the default port. The default port is the default port for every one. It's whatever that network address is. I think that's the one I used. I think that's it.

So it's kind of like a proxy in that sense? You'd be using it as a proxy, yes. That's the way you use it.
