What is equivalent to ParseHub?
It's all about scraping, it's always been about scraping.
One of the many reasons that you should never build a web crawler: if somebody does a better job, you are out of business! There is nothing wrong with a web crawler per se, we all like to use them. There are a lot of ways to use these crawlers, but they all revolve around a simple premise: make me a set of links to crawl for a page, as quickly as possible.
ParseHub is one of the best crawlers I have ever used, and even though their main goal is to crawl the web for you, they do an amazing job. I really like them, their services offer many advantages, they are really fast and they are very robust. But the downside, if you don't want to pay for it, is that they provide only the scraping services and you are on your own to build your backend, meaning that there is not a chance to get a complete solution from ParseHub for free.
What ParseHub offers. You can read the official ParseHub guide for how to get started on your own, and here is the list of what they offer: Crawl the entire web from a single URL, using up to 100 concurrent instances of their API endpoint. Scrape more than 7 billion pages from websites by leveraging ParseHub's proprietary crawling technology. Retrieve data from more than 2 million external resources using their powerful Web Scraping API. Save data into Parse Server with just a few lines of code. Automate your scraping needs and scale by adding more scraping capabilities. If you don't know what ParseHub is, read their official introduction, or here is my personal experience on using ParseHub. The Parse Hub is open source, the source code is available on GitHub. And although you need a license to be able to use it, if you just want to test it, they will give you a 30 days trial.
So this is the plan: First of all, you have to get your hands on some free Parsehub tokens. To get them, you can fill out their form on their website or contact them directly through the Contact Us page.
What is the difference between ParseHub and import IO?
I recently heard about the new Import IO integration into Parse.
Today I downloaded a new free version of Parse called ParseHub. It's free, but doesn't seem to have as much of a free app.99 fee for ImportIO? Has anybody been using both? Which one is better for you? Does one or the other do anything that the other doesn't?
Well ParseHub looks like a client for importing data from external sources into Parse. ImportIO (free) has a similar purpose, but also supports importing your own data. You can also generate the files to import into ImportIO.
ParseHub does seem like it contains some additional features, and they look cool, but it's probably too easy for one to end up with hundreds of thousands of entities/users/roles in their database. There isn't a lot of reason why you'd want to use ParseHub - unless you're wanting to do a lot more than import from a single source. So at this time, it's really hard to say what your choice should be. It comes down to personal preference, however the ImportIO is more flexible in my opinion.
