Where is the proxy setting in Chrome?

This may be a strange question but I'm not sure how to ask.

I'm trying to set the proxy settings for Chrome in our office network to use the local proxy, and set my IP address as a localhost proxy. I've been using the following command in my terminal: sudo gedit /etc/apt.conf and adding this line: Acquire::";. After that, I restarted the computer. In my browser, the proxy settings in Chrome are like this: When I type in localhost, I get this error: Access to the requested URL from your proxy has been blocked by Web Proxy Auto Discovery (WPAD). What am I doing wrong? I am answering my own question. The answer is here.]/ s/(.(localhost))/1/' /etc/apt.conf.tmp.

And then in the folder .tmp, you have a folder .d and in that folder you have files like:
Then just export these files like this: wget -O- --proxy-user=10.10:80 && sudo apt-get clean && rm -rf .

After that, I just ran. Sudo apt-get update. Sudo apt-get install -y ubuntu-restricted-extras. And it worked.

How do I turn off proxy on Windows 10?

I have a Lenovo ideapad 100s with Windows 10.

I used to be able to turn off the proxy in the internet settings, and was able to get my ISP web page (i'm on FIOS in a business area) fine without the proxy but now for some reason that option doesn't work. I can't turn off the web proxy as it just gives me the error "websettings could not be found." If anyone has any ideas that would be appreciated!

Your current location is probably configured as a "Business" or "Organization" location. It looks like the "organization account" is using what appears to be a corporate network proxy.

You'll need to reset your location back to the default, which should be the "Home" location. You can either try turning off network proxies for your current location, then turning them back on. Or you can use a different computer and use the browser settings there to change the proxy settings in case that fails.
