How do I access my IPVanish account?

You can access your account through your IPVanish profile page.

It's the page where you set up and manage your connection. If you don't have an account yet, you'll need to create one first. For more help, read our how-to-get-started guide.

Where do I change my IP address? If you don't want to use your current IP address, you can either use a different IP address or change it manually. To change your IP address from within your account: Click the top right icon on your profile page. Select "Settings". Go to the "Advanced Settings" tab. To change your IP address when using the mobile app: Open the app and tap "Settings". Select "Advanced Settings". Choose the option to change your IP address. Change the IP address and select the option to "Save" it. How do I log in? On your profile page, click the "log in" button in the top right corner. You can also access your IPVanish account by entering the email address and password you created. You'll be prompted to sign in if you haven't logged in before.

If you have an account, you should be automatically signed in to the page. If not, follow the steps above to get started.

How do I know which country I'm connecting from? When you use a VPN, it hides your true location and IP address, allowing you to appear as if you are somewhere else. You'll notice that on your IPVanish profile page you can see which country you are in, along with the time zone, because we've recorded your location.

Note: In the app, you can tap the three dots in the top left corner to view the country you are connecting from. How can I use other features? The mobile app and desktop app both have a lot of other useful features, such as the ability to change your IP address, set up profiles for multiple users, and control your privacy settings.

Can I use IPVanish without paying?

IPVanish support a free trial, but I guess it's not very long.

It allows you to try some features and the service is limited to a few days (about one week).95/mo.

The trial period might seem "scary", but I recommend you to try it out for a while to see how it works. Then when you like the service, cancel it and you won't get billed.

Why can't I log into my IPVanish account?

I am connected to my IPVanish account by clicking the icon on the right side of the address bar when the address starts with Then I enter my username and password and hit Submit.

If you are also facing this issue, what can you do to overcome it? The URL in question () is part of a feature known as Single-Sign On, or SSO. It requires you to log into that one website. That website typically has two buttons on the top-right side of the window.

While this is a convenient feature to have, it unfortunately means it doesn't work for all websites. This is an IPVanish-specific feature and has absolutely nothing to do with the browser itself. That's why it cannot be disabled.

However, as you correctly noticed, it's possible to have that feature enabled on multiple websites. By changing your settings on the VPN client you used to connect to IPVanish, you have already enabled the SSO for those websites. So the next time you go to use the same websites, you will be automatically logged in, and so will be able to login to other websites.

As already mentioned in the comments, you can check if SSO is enabled for a specific website by pressing the 3-dot menu button to the right of the first address bar and selecting Edit Connection, then select the connection, edit it, and then select the connection profile from the top menu. The Settings menu shows a Single Sign On tab.

Now regarding your question, after you create a free account at IPVanish you will have to verify your email address before being able to use the service. After you do this, you will be asked to enter your first and last name, your country and then the one thing that prevents people from registering using this service.

You are free to leave these blank as they don't affect your account. All this information will be used for billing purposes and to contact you about your account. Once this is done, you will be able to connect to a server in the US.

Now for the reason why I am directing you to contact their support, is that they have a list of IP addresses that are available for those who don't have an internet connection or who have their computers turned off. If you would like to connect to a server from outside the US, you need to create an account. If you don't, IPVanish will not be able to send you a free IP address.
