Why is my Surfshark VPN not connecting?
I am trying to set up a VPN on my Surface 3. I've installed the Surfshark VPN client from here and when I launch it, it asks for a password - which I enter and then nothing. Any ideas how to resolve?
Surfshark will only work on ARM processors. You'll need to look at other options for a Windows-based solution on the Surface 3. It's likely that they will support Windows 10, but as of now there is no assurance (see this article for details).
Does Surfshark work with Chrome?
I'm interested in trying Surfshark but I can't seem to make it work with Google Chrome. It works with Firefox and I've just been having trouble finding someone who has actually tested this. I can't find a way to have my laptop's WiFi access point be controlled by the VPN at work. I'm really interested to find out if Surfshark is something I should try.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Hi mjg. I've used the same connection/config for many years, surfshark works fine for me and I used it last week for the first time. I did use the Chrome browser but found it slow and did not like the extra security so went back to FF. In your case you could create an ad-hoc network with a couple of computers and just connect with your computer to that and use surfshark. How do I connect my Surfshark VPN to Chrome?
Using the Chrome browser, you can establish a VPN connection to your Surfshark service. Once a connection is established, when you access the Surfshark website, all of your activity will be routed through the server at the selected remote endpoint. This means that any changes you make to your browsing will only take effect once you're connected. This also means that Surfshark won't be able to monitor your browsing activities once your VPN is established.

Once you are connected, Surfshark does not require you to confirm your device's location or device type. It is your responsibility to make sure that you are using a device with Google Play Services. We recommend that you use a compatible device that has Google Play Services. If you are unsure about what kind of device you have, Google Play Services tells you by displaying one of the following messages in your Android notification bar:
