How do I extract an embedded PDF?
Is there a way to extract an embedded PDF file to see what is on it and how to use it? I have a PDF file on a web server, and I'm trying to view the content of the file but not extract it or copy it out of its own directory. The PDF is generated by using a PHP script that creates a dynamic PDF form. The web application for the PDF is located at /var/www/application/pdfs/. In one of the files in the directory, there is a PDF file that contains a form to fill out, and then once you click on a submit button, a new page is generated with a completed form, and a PDF link to the new page is generated and shown below the completed form.
When trying to access the form via the generated PDF link, I just get a blank screen. I was able to view the completed PDF once I manually copied the PDF from the HTML page, so I know that the link is generated successfully. If I look at the response header, it has a mime type of application/pdf; charset=UTF-8. This is the same as what the browser (chrome) gives me when it's downloaded.
Thanks in advance! If you're unable to view the content of the PDF form that you're getting back from the server, then there may be something wrong with the headers of the response from your PHP script. To make sure that there are no issues with your application's processing of the PDF, try accessing the URL with a different browser or an offline browser. In this situation, the problem most likely lies with the headers, which aren't getting sent back to the browser correctly. If you're running a local environment and trying to open the PDF directly through your web browser, try printing the page instead. The headers will be returned to the browser just fine when you do that.
How to download PDF from website which is not downloadable in Chrome?
I need to download a pdf file which is stored on a server. The web application I am using it is written in asp.net MVC and is in a different domain name.
This is my HTML: Download the PDF file. I can't seem to figure out how to download it? I don't have any extension on the URL. Normally, Chrome or other download extension are not working with my web application, when they can download it, but not my own website that I want them to.
I was looking for the answer online and came across different articles in Stackoverflow, but none really helped me. What I have tried: CFF - seems that this extension doesn't support ASP.NET application. Doesn't even ask me to install it.
Noextension - seems like this isn't the best option available, but what I have been able to find out from it (included downloading with Chrome). So, please someone tell me what am I doing wrong, and what is the best approach for such case. Thank you, Laziala! PS: I am sorry if my question looks stupid, I have only started using SO about half month ago. If you're running Firefox, there's a free addon called PDF Downloader. There's no Chrome equivalent (yet). Update: It looks like there is now a (very buggy) Chrome version.
How to download a PDF from a website that is not downloadable?
I am trying to download a PDF from the website www.gazette.co.uk, it loads very slowly and then when it loads it says "Page cannot be displayed. The page you are trying to open is either being used by another person or is temporary unavailable".
I have tried downloading the PDF through a lot of different ways but none work. I tried the following: Download button on the home page. Download button on the left side of the home page. Download button on the right side of the home page. Download button on the top right of the home page. Download button on the bottom right of the home page.
