How long can your Netflix account be on hold?
Does it ever really end?
If your account is temporarily on hold, you'll see a screen that looks like this: Netflix recommends that you click Ok to allow us to remotely manage the content on your account. But if you're having problems with your account, don't assume that clicking the Ok button will help. Clicking the button won't actually help anything, and it could make the problem worse by allowing a false positive to suggest a fix.
Here are a few things you can try to help Netflix find and fix any issues: Log into your account. If you're still seeing the error screen, please follow these steps to log into your account: Click the Forgot password link at the top of the login page. Enter your email address and the email address that you used when signing up for Netflix. You'll receive a temporary password that you can use to enter your account. Click the Sign in button to enter your account.
Once in your account, we'll email you the account details needed to fix the issue. Note: If you're having a problem logging into your account, but you've already signed in and tried to access your account, please try the steps above again. Update the system info. To help us fix the issue, please take the time to update your system information. For Windows 10, click the blue dot icon on the taskbar, type windows update and then select the Update and Recovery tab.
You can also use the system information in the Help Center to update your system information. Verify your connection. Some customers may have a problem connecting to Netflix or experiencing problems streaming. Try restarting your router or computer. For most ISPs, it's as simple as restarting your modem.
Verify your Internet connection. If you're experiencing problems with your Internet connection, try reconnecting to Netflix.com, and then restarting your modem. Some Internet providers have a configuration option for fast lanes that can cause problems with Netflix's servers.
If you have another PC on your network, you can try connecting to it to test your connection to Netflix.

What is a Netflix account?
What happens if I miss one Netflix payment?
Netflix will cut off your account
After all, as its name implies, the free streaming service gives subscribers access to a library of thousands of movies and TV shows.
And if you do pay to continue your subscription, you're guaranteed to have uninterrupted access to that library for at least the next two years.
But a new bill in Congress could change that. Introduced in the House by Rep. Greg Walden (R-OR) on Tuesday, the Online Protection and Consumer Enforcement Act would require companies like Netflix to make good on their promise to honor canceled subscriptions. If they don't, their customers would lose access to their content and their money for the duration of the missed payment period.
The bill will protect consumers from being caught in a cycle of subscription cancellations and recriminations and the subsequent lost of their right to access content, said David Vladeck, the director of consumer protection at the American Civil Liberties Union. Netflix is already dealing with more than 100 customer complaints and dozens of lawsuits over accounts getting mistakenly terminated or not properly reinstated after customers miss multiple monthly payments, according to a spokesperson. The company has previously argued that when it cancels your account, it simply terminates your access to a Netflix account and all its content a move that doesn't require customers to pay a dime extra to restart their subscription.
But with no clear explanation for why you can't simply get Netflix back, there's no clear way for consumers to prove their claims. The proposed bill would allow people to file a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission and start a case at the agency a process that, according to the ACLU, would take months to adjudicate and could be too little, too late. So what would the outcome be for a customer who misses two monthly payments? Well, if they keep paying their bills they get two years of access to the service. But if they miss two payments the service shuts down and the account is considered delinquent, according to Netflix's own online support.
You may lose access to features like Queue, reads the policy page explaining what will happen if a customer misses two payments. And any content currently in your queue or on your Watchlist will be removed. You will also be disconnected from Netflix.
