I am just getting started with TunnelBear, so I don't have much data or experience about it, but thus far I have a lot of fun with it. I had a quick look at their site and didn't find any mention of "free" and I did not see anything saying it was a 100% free VPN tunnel. Is this true? I have looked all over the internet, and the best information I found was that it is not 100% free. You are not the first person to ask me about this, so I thought I would put some additional information out there on the matter. The main reason we say it is not 100% free is because we offer a free trial. We feel that we need to be able to give our users a full trial in order to evaluate the service. It seems a little funny to us that people would think it was 100% free when you can only use the service for a day, but we get that some people do not want to buy our product without testing it.

We also offer a free version which is completely different than the paid version. There is no data being sent to our servers in any way. We just wanted to make sure people know that they are not actually getting what they are paying for.

The free trial version is limited to a 30-day usage period. After the free trial, you must pay to continue using TunnelBear. It is actually very easy to get a free trial. In fact, the first time you sign up for TunnelBear, you are automatically entered into the free trial program. This happens every time you create an account.
