How do I manually block a website in Chrome?

Can't see "Manage Blocked Websites" feature in the "Site Settings" menu?

How do I manually block a site in Chrome? This is for work, so I'd prefer not to do this through Tasker. If necessary, I'm also willing to create an extension or program in Java if it can be done in that language.

I tried to add the site as an exception in the exception settings and restart the browser but no luck so far. Open up Chrome://flags. Search for --enable-site-block-list. You should see it here. If you see --enable-site-block-list somewhere, just close your browser. Open Chrome again and it should be back!

How do I block a website without BlockSite?

BlockSite is a popular extension for Google Chrome that will detect and block sites from popping up in your search results.

After installing BlockSite, you can go into the extension settings and block any website by name or IP address.

Blocking a site works like this: when you visit a blocked site, the extension blocks the site's request to come up in the search results of Google Chrome. That prevents the site from showing up in your search results.

If you've installed the extension and enabled the ability to block any site or website, here's how to block a site in the fastest way possible: Open Chrome and go to the BlockSite extension page. Enter a website name or IP address and click Block Site. You'll see a pop-up notification and confirmation saying your site is blocked on Google Chrome. You can also choose to have the popup automatically dismiss, but you'll still be informed about the blocked site via notifications.

When the site is blocked, you'll notice the name next to it change to Blocked Site, the color of the text will be blue, and the icon will be blocked. You can still view the site by clicking on it.

If you're still having issues with the extension and you don't find the settings helpful or informative enough, you can also reach out to support@blockSite.me to ask for help.
