And you're absolutely right! The demand for manual testing will never reach its peak, ever. However, if the amount of people who start manual testing has increased by a few percent (and I think this will happen - people who started with a good attitude and have a love for manual testing are more likely to be enthusiastic about manual testing than people who didn't), then the percentage of people using manual testing services/products will increase.

Even after that, there will always be manual testing people willing to do it for the love of it (that's me). The demand for manual testing will only go up and down, but if you ask me, I'd say it'll always be around because there will always be a need for quality assurance. I think many people don't take it seriously because they view it as an expensive burden, but I guarantee you that, if we all do our jobs properly, at the end of the day we will all say "I could have told you so" about something. I think that as long as there are human beings on earth and they need something, there will always be a demand for manual testing. Of course the demand can be very low, because often companies don't do sufficient quality assurance.

I also think the demand will never decrease - the only thing that might decrease is the price and the quality of available testing tools. But that can happen because of the technology, too, which makes it cheaper.
