Ok so I was trying to compare between solid audio benchmarks and. comparisons really seemed to point to superior audio quality of. lowpassing / de-essing much better then solid state. We even at one point spoke about getting a blackmagic oracle or the gurus series. cards to go with all the processing power. But in the end I could not justify spending this kind of cash. We are talking at least 300-350 usd in a software only low noise audio video environment. Really wish I had some higher budget for this kind of stuff again. The alternative is the veroboard overo board or something from what. I have seen and heard. That is totally doable all I use a pair of cheapos. Audio vision software itself is absolutely weapon aided and it sounds great. Stream looks great.

My question is solid audio benchmark? Or STREMIO by itself is good enough? I was just poking around into the overo board thing and it seems expensive although its pretty powerful. Maybe a good platform for. One of the software based alternatives is called VBOD(VideoBoost Over Drive) What do you guys think? It seems focused on HDMI-HDMI stuff but does it support say Firewire connections too,, I have a firewire cable anyway so its not a big deal.

UPDATE: Does anyone know of any test movies/shows that I can use on STREMIO and try to compare with DVDAudioPro or even Audacity? The streaming tools / services seem to be like bitch apps since desktop listening always seem to sound better than any streaming thing (especially if it is some crappy streaming service). So what are the best options for someone living in a shoestring budget. The possibility of a cardboard box as a solution also seems viable, although one should take care of the IR filters.

A claim I think that solid audio is better then SAD will sound amazing on its own,but that might not be true in real world. So something like FIRAMOND Audio may break out some from the sound from the SAD found as a video, tv. Film etc.

If there are any other better ways to compare aside from the benchmark solutions or any software programs for free or cheap that I can use to compare.
