How do I unblock apps blocked by family link?
I don't understand how to unblock apps blocked by Family Link.
This happens frequently and I end up doing a bunch of things I don't want to do and need to know what to do. I've tried:
I've tried to enable parental control on each account in Settings, but can't figure out how to enable parental control when only one account is being used. From my research it seems like it's some type of bug with the App Store or something, but I'm not 100% sure. I also can't seem to find an app to unblock any of the blocked apps from Family Link. If you've got apps that have been blocked by Family Link and aren't able to use them (or use them without the Family Link icon appearing in the iOS App Store), this might because you're using more than one Apple ID, and Family Link isn't able to differentiate between them. To fix this, please log out of the other Apple ID(s), and then relaunch the iPhone or iPad you're using. Once you've done this, log back in to the other Apple ID(s) and select "View All" from the navigation bar at the top of the page.
This will show you any apps that have been blocked by Family Link. You can simply tap on the name of the app to re-enable it, and any other apps that you've enabled as part of your family plan will automatically be selected for you to use as well.
Thanks for your feedback! We'll take a look into this issue and fix it in a future release. @jimmymcfarland The App Store is only one of the places where you can access content. There's more stuff to explore than just the App Store! I would recommend checking out the iTunes store, the Books store, and the Newsstand store to see all the different types of content you can access.
@jimmymcfarland For some content, you'll have to be logged in to a family plan to view it. So, even if your account has Family Link enabled, if the content is unavailable to view because you're not on a family plan, you won't be able to access it.
How do I allow third party apps through family link?
When I go to the home screen, my family link seems to be gone. I have no way of getting from one app to another on the home screen. There is an arrow that looks like a play/pause button but it is blank. How do I figure out how to get to other apps on the home screen?
