How to get proxy server list?
How do you get the proxy server list for your computer to be able to connect to the internet?
I'm trying to find out where I could find a proxy server list for my mac that I can use for a couple of webpages. In the network settings, I found a location where there is a proxy server, but it isn't working. In Firefox, if I go to Tools>Network>Settings>Locations, there is a Proxy Server list there but nothing seems to work, even if I copy the address from there and paste it into the page. I've been searching all around and don't seem to find a thing. Any ideas on how to get this working? Re: ? This may not be your problem. You can change the proxy settings by going to Preferences->Network->Settings or going to Options->Advanced->Connection. You should be able to specify the proxy server type, port and whatnot and this way all apps that support proxy settings can use it. In other words, I suggest you try to update the settings in the Preferences window. If it works, that's great, just leave it as it is. But if you have problems after the update, read this:
If you still have problems with specific applications after the update, check the "Connection" tab in the Preferences window and the Application menu. You can also check the "Web Traffic" tab, but it won't help much because it will only give information about the "Web" proxy settings.
Hi, I'm sorry to hear that it's not working for you. What version of OS X are you running? Please tell us what type of wifi card you have and what operating system you're using. We might need more information to help you solve this problem.
What do I write in proxy hostname?
Hello all.
I have to write a shell script that asks the user for a hostname and then does a series of proxies, each for 10 minutes. Then at the end the user will be given the correct IP of the host for that specific time frame.
The thing is I am a complete noob when it comes to writing a shell script. Here is some code I have now that doesn't work: #!/bin/bash. Read -p "What hostname do you want? I am open to any kind of help on this. Thanks in advance. If you can use Python or Perl you should use those. If you can't, you need to do more reading on bash.
One way to read hostname into a variable is with the read command.
Where can I find a free proxy?
I need to find a free proxy.
I'm looking for a reliable proxy. I don't want to use something that can be blocked or requires a monthly subscription. I have tried several but so far haven't found a good one. Most proxies require a credit card, which is not a problem. The ones I tried require a credit card to register. Is there a site that has a list of good proxies?
I'm a developer at the same website as you. We currently have a good number of free proxies, but there's a chance we may have to remove them.
I will post a link to the list of free proxies in the near future. In the meantime, feel free to contact us. We'll get back to you promptly.
I have a server dedicated to World of Warcraft and I'd like to be able to connect to it from anywhere in the world, even if that means using a proxy. What do you recommend? I also find it quite difficult to connect using my mobile phone via wifi hotspot because I can only access the internet on my mobile on the exact time that I have my hotspot connected to the internet. I'm pretty sure I could use a proxy but I'm unsure if I'd be able to get around that.
I did read a couple of things on here about using a proxy. One said that it was necessary to open up ports on the firewall on my router but I couldn't find any info on what ports I needed to open. Another said it was simple to use a proxy on my computer and I have no idea how to set one up on my computer either.
Does anyone know of any websites or software that would help me out? I'd be very grateful if someone could let me know. My first thought would be to just use a browser to use the public facing proxy service but I'm wondering if there are some that have an in-game component. Also, I am a novice at programming so I'd need something that was easy to set up.
