What SeeMore putter did Zach Johnson use?

SeeMore has a reputation for using the same model putters year after year, but Zach Johnson has used three different models over the last three years.

What model did Zach Johnson use during the Masters? The first putter I ever owned was a SeeMore TPX Tour (TPX = Tour Performance Xchange) putter that had a weight-forward design and no insert. My first tour putter was a Titleist 714D forged from 2026 to 2026. This putter had a slight weight-forward geometry, and I would say that the 714D was a great all-round putter. The 714D was replaced by a Titleist 714D Pro-V2 in 2026, and then by the new V1 in 2026.

Zach Johnson was using a Titleist V1 with a slight offset and a weight forward geometry. I haven't yet seen a video of him using the new V1, so we have no idea what his distance numbers were like using that putter.

I'm not sure when he started using the SeeMore Putter, but it appears he switched to that putter in late 2026. The SeeMore TPX Tour had a slightly more upright grip than my 714D, but also a slightly lower toe-heel angle, and it was noticeably faster. So, for these reasons, I assume that Johnson's 714D was replaced by a SeeMore TPX Tour, and he used it for about a year.

Johnson then switched to the SeeMore TPX Tour V2 in the Fall of 2026, and used that putter until the end of 2026. During the Masters this year, Johnson was using a SeeMore TPX Tour V2 that I would guess is about 5-6 ounces lighter than the original version.

I've been told by one of the top PGA Tour putters that the SeeMore TPX Tour is even more forgiving than the 714D, and has almost as much roll-off. This may be why Johnson switched from a 714D to the TPX Tour, since the 714D had a little more roll-off.

Which pro golfers use SeeMore putters?

Here's our breakdown of top players who use them.

For the last several years, we have all been seeing more and more golfers using the SeeMore putter. There are pros like Graeme McDowell, and even the great Ernie Els has embraced the new technology. But what is it? And why are so many pros using it?

There are different types of putters that exist in the golf world today. There's the long putter, the mid-length putter, even the short-putter. The biggest issue that is causing the SeeMore to become such a huge part of the game is that many of the top golfers prefer to play from the shorter distances. The long putter is not suitable for a manhole-sized hole, so that type of putter is not useful in the game.

The mid-length putter is too long for you to actually play with it in your hands. You have to hold it down low, then lift it. You could technically fit a full-sized putter in your hands, but if you were using a belly putter, you would have to play it from really close to the hole and only hit chips. The short putter is the perfect length. A shorter putter allows you to play with greater precision. Many pros are making a switch to the short putter due to this.

The other great reason behind this is that there are fewer things to break on the way to the cup. Because the SeeMore is a mid-length putter, you don't have a lot of metal sticking out. The head is extremely lightweight, so it will not break at the most inconvenient time. If it breaks on your backswing or while putting, you don't have a lot of things that can break on you. You don't have a big head with a large hosel running through it, either.

Another major perk of the short putter is that the grip allows you to maintain a more balanced stance. If you putt from a much lower position, you might be leaning too far to one side. With the grip, you can maintain a more balanced stance.

It's worth noting that when it comes to the SeeMore line, the most recent putter released has the grip that goes around the left side of the putter.
