How do I get off blocked websites?

How do I get off blocked websites?

I've been using the new version of Chrome on my desktop and I'm having trouble navigating some websites that have been blocked.

One example is the Washington Post. If you go to it takes you to a page with a white screen that says access denied. Clicking on any of the links does nothing. I know that Google is blocking them but if someone can tell me how to bypass the block, that would be great.

I think that the Washington Post has been taken over by the Chinese government and they are blocking access to it so that people cannot read about the news in a country that is not favorable to them. I tried to access the news this morning and there was no access to any sites on my computer. I know that some sites get blocked but I don't know why mine has been taken over.

I have a different scenario from what you're describing, but I can imagine it would be helpful to see how I got around it. I can see the Washington Post from my college, and while the site is blocked, I was able to navigate to it. When I opened a tab for the Washington Post, it was able to open. I then tried to do the same thing from my home, and it was unable to load. I opened up my college browser and was able to view the Washington Post just fine. I think it's safe to say that something was blocked from my computer from my college.

Thanks, that's helpful. The article you mentioned talks about what's happening with all the news and newspapers and other sites that are blocked. I just want to know how to bypass these blocked sites so that I can read the news again.

What website unblocks everything?

What is the best website to unblock everything?

Can you suggest an alternative or do I have to live with it?

If the DNS servers for a domain don't return the correct IP address of that website, then it's not possible to access it. The best option is to change your DNS settings to point to a different DNS server. That's what I did with my ISP.

However, that doesn't actually prevent you from accessing it - you can still use a proxy or TOR, or by hacking into your router. So if you really want to stop it, you should either change the DNS settings for that domain to point to another DNS server, or remove it from your router.

That's not a great option if you want to keep using that domain name and be able to log into it at any time. It's a good idea to look at the DNS settings on your ISP's site for that domain name, because that might give you a better idea of what to do.

The other option would be to use your phone's browser to browse to that domain. You can change your phone's browser to your own preference for that domain and get that same effect.

Ronald Reagan "You should never argue with a clever person, because they will probably win the argument, but if you can't convince them they have simply convinced themselves that they are right, for no other purpose than to justify their opposition to your view. If it is a mobile device, that means that the browser will be completely different from the browser you use on your laptop. Quote: Originally Posted by jvz23. ? How do you unblock everything at school?

Some days when I'm at school, I look around and see that nothing can ever be blocked again.

I don't have to worry about getting into trouble for downloading anything; I don't need to worry about my friends trying to hack my computer. For some reason, I just know that everything's blocked. No more spam!

I don't have a question for this topic, but a comment. I'm thinking about applying for the U. Secret Service Agent Training Program next year, in the fall of 2024. It's a three-year program, so the start date will be January 1, 2024. What I'm worried about is if you get recruited by the Secret Service?

Re: Do you unblock everything at school? There are things like Adblock Plus, but I don't know what it is your experience with them is. Maybe there is something like that? What I found funny is you mention things like "hacking", when there is actually no such thing. There is only illegal content, and the only way to get past it (at least legally) is a legal way, such as purchasing (or renting) a licensed DVD or Bluray or whatever that movie comes on.

Thanks all. I've tried some online things but I was hoping there was some advice on what to use and how to set it up. It seems like I'm not going to get through to most people anyway. I'll try another time.

I had my parents call the school and ask for a block list. They faxed it to them. When I got home from school, I downloaded this free software that allows you to block anything you want (and everything in the world). Even better, you can get paid to block ads!00 and I was able to download some software. I haven't been online since then though.

Oh and thanks for answering, it makes me feel less dumb. My experience with Adblock plus is good but not perfect. Even though I have it installed and up and running, I find myself still running into sites like Hot Topic or other sites with the annoying blinking ads.
