Why can't i access the DNS website?

Why are websites still blocked with VPN?

The answer is that they are not.

Not anymore. The blocking of VPN services on the Internet began a long time ago. And it was done for good reasons.

A VPN, or Virtual Private Network, is a system that allows the user to route their traffic through another server, which acts as a middleman between you and the server that you wish to connect to. In other words, it creates a tunnel between your network and the internet, hiding your IP address from the server that you connect to.

When people first started to use the internet, VPNs were not available, so they were necessary to access the internet. People could only connect to a server located in their country, and this made accessing the internet much harder. They could only access servers based in their country by using a proxy, which would encrypt all their traffic and route it through a different server that would connect them to the server that they wanted to connect to. This method was very hard to use and there were no easy solutions.

As the internet grew, more and more people started to use the internet. Since then, VPNs have become more widely used. Nowadays, there are so many servers on the internet that even the most basic of them are quite useful. With the help of a VPN, you can now access your favorite sites, watch your favorite movies, play your favorite games, all without being limited by your location.

In the early days of the internet, most websites were not accessible because of these limitations. But in recent times, this has changed. Now, with the help of VPN services, most websites are accessible regardless of where you are located in the world.

In fact, there are VPNs that even hide your IP address and make your connection anonymous. But that's an entire topic in itself, so we will not be talking about that in this article.

How did VPNs change the internet? For years, the only way to access the internet was through a website. If you were in the United States, you could only access the websites of companies that were based there. For example, if you wanted to buy a new TV, you had to go to the website of a company that sold TVs in the United States, and buy one.

But how did you buy your favorite Netflix series without paying a subscription fee? You paid for your Netflix subscription monthly.

How do I access restricted sites using VPN?

Doing any kind of site browsing in my Windows environment (7,8,10) is restricted by my ISP. My ISP tells me that they are blocked (it's a paid ISP).

The ISP doesn't allow them to block ports by default. To circumvent the restrictions I'd like to have the computer connect to a VPN (I also have a server running in the same LAN as my computer). It'd be ideal if I could access the sites from the VPN so I could also browse the internet from behind the VPN without restriction. Is that possible? How? The problem with using VPN or proxies on top of an IP Block list is that it works with the IP address and IP block lists but it does not check the URL's (or URLs) behind. If the URLs of the blocked sites on your ISP's IP block list match the URLs of the sites on your VPN, then you'll get a connection, if they don't match, then you won't get a connection because the IP block list will stop the packets before it hits the site and they won't know the site exists.

My friend at work was working on a product which was looking at this very problem, you can contact them if you wish to find out how it worked. This may or may not be applicable to your problem, it was only for people who lived in countries where they had a local proxy.
