Is Gmail no longer supporting SMTP?
The Gmail SMTP FAQ states that the service is no longer supporting mail for users outside North America.
Any mail with messages being sent outside of the United States for example. When I go to configure the SMTP servers, even after clicking "Change," only the smarthosts for US domestic mails are populated in the field. Am I missing something?
"When an item is deleted, it will move up to a high volume folder that contains several other messages. You can open this high volume folder and delete the messages again if you want, or just wait until the mailbox runs out of space and move up the messages to the next available folder."
It might be worth giving Outlook 2026 a try if your issue has something to do with not getting mail to gmail on time. It's been awhile since I was using Outlook 2007/Hotmail, but when a Hotmail server takes days to give you mail, then you have something going on.
When Hotmail took control of my email, I found I had to put in the same password twice. First at Outlook (to get all the normal passwords to be entered), and second at Hotmail to get into my email. After that, everything was just fine, but it took like 7 weeks to have any.
That is absolutely not true. Hotmail never had POP before. What you can use with Hotmail is POP mail from another server which is what Gmail would send. Just like how yahoo doesn't support anything. They just make everything look nice but don't really support email.
The hotmail mail is from hotmail.com (or at least used to be). But it does not work because it is a different domain then your gmail. That is why you get sent that way.
Now in order to get around this I just use outlook as well as google. That way none of the emails go to their website. Which is usually fine for me. Because they usually send the email when they are on internet. Which is nice (for me) cause its my own work day. I can get it when I need it.
Why is my Gmail not sending outgoing emails?
My Gmail account is not sending out any outgoing emails.
I am not sure if it is something to do with the server I use or if there is a problem with my account. Is there any way that I can check? I have contacted my ISP and they said there was nothing wrong. I have also tried uninstalling my web browser (Firefox) and reinstalling it, but that hasn't worked.
Re: ? I hope you are well. Please log in to the Admin console of your Google Apps account, go to Settings > Outgoing Email Settings and check if there is anything there. You can do this from the mobile app (go to Settings > Email) or on the desktop (open the browser and go to www.google.com/mail).
For more help, please contact us by sending an email to where we can help you. Thanks for the help. It turns out it was something to do with the servers I was using. I switched over to my ISP's servers and all is now working well. I'm sorry for the trouble I caused.

Why is SMTP not working with Gmail?
I have been using a webmail for my mail.
It is working fine for more than a year. Yesterday when I tried to send an email to my own address, Gmail displayed an error: "Delivery of message failed. Learn more."
After some time I checked my mail server log.00 How can I make it work? Edit 1: I had to change my /etc/hosts file. Now I can send emails to my own mail. But I can not receive any emails.
Edit 2: I am able to send emails to other servers with my webmail. I want to send emails to my own address from webmail and I get this error. But I can send emails to other servers with webmail. Why does Gmail not accept SMTP connection from my server?
Here is my /etc/hosts file: 1 localhost.localdomain localhost4.localdomain4 127.1 wlcomcast-mail.net mail.wilcomcast.net
Edit 3: I just removed my /etc/hosts file. Edit 4: I found a solution for the problem. I just commented out the line 127.1 localhost in /etc/hosts file.
The postfix admin log shows no complaints when I send mail via the webmail.
