Which is better 1.1.1.1 or 8.8 8.8 for gaming?

Is 1.1.1.1 still the fastest DNS?

I have found a table that compares 3 different servers DNS.

Is it true that 1.1 is still the fastest for most users? According to an article posted on dnsstuff.com, it was a mistake when they published their speed results.

The article points out that: a) if we use "query time" the results change for 1. And 8.- and others as well, b) the "results" published by dnsstuff are averages of lots of queries, what if we do one query per second and. then compare the numbers?

What is OpenDNS IPv4 DNS address?

Is there any way I can make OpenDNS IPv4 DNS resolve host name for all host addresses?

I tried to add the dns-ip for all address and no change in behaviour (even that is not possible). Is there any change in the dns server settings that can help me resolve the host name for all host addresses? 2 Answers.
OpenDNS's default policy for static DNS resolution is to only resolve Internet Protocol addresses for IPv4 hosts. Other hosts are typically not resolved. The dns-ip setting affects whether they are resolved or not, but if you want to ensure they are resolved by an external DNS resolver such as OpenDNS, you have to either add a DNS record for a different domain (such as .local) or manually configure OpenDNS's local DNS to resolve that domain for you.local is one of the examples of what you can use to do that. In addition to the dns-ip IP for that domain, you have to add a record called dns-txt pointing to "nsa.opendns.com" which is an authoritative DNS server for OpenDNS.

Which is better 1.1.1.1 or 8.8 8.8 for gaming?

This question came from our site for professionals and enthusiasts, dedicated to the community.

and its members. Context: I recently was introduced to 8.8 for my iPad and I feel it works better for games on it. It has a "gamer center" where you can adjust sound and other settings to change things like color depth. 1.1 lets me use it on my PC, but that means losing the gamer center. There is a way to connect them, but I am wondering if 1.1 will outperform 8.8 when its game time.

I have been using the following guide for my Xbox One S, but was looking for something more up to date. I noticed the version in this guide is "Xbox Preview, 2.0" and I was wondering if there is something newer.

Is there such a thing? Will the newer versions perform better in general in terms of gaming on an Xbox One? I am asking if this could be "one major update" or if there could be a few updates that are small fixes? I have recently upgraded to 8. I have been told (so many conflicting sources, sorry) that 8.8 may not run with the latest drivers. I can confirm that the newest drivers, for my CPU are 4.12.1496. I am playing Arkham Knight and have no problems. I had problems running 8.8 with 4.6 and the game got very choppy (though a little more noticeable at 60fps). I have seen the same things posted online, so I'm skeptical, but maybe 8.8 was updated specifically for 4.12 drivers.

I upgraded to the latest version and everything's fine. If you find 8.8 runs too slow, then try lowering your graphics/monitor settings. There used to be a setting called "Performance," which should be on your settings options in-game.

For me everything was going great until around 5 updates ago I think when there came the problem that 8.8 wont boot anymore. I made a thread about it here:
It had been recommended to switch to a different 8.8 build So now what is happening when I start 8.
