How many seasons of The Mandalorian will there be?
Fans have been clamoring for a second season of The Mandalorian for some time.
While we have been given a few tidbits of information (mainly about Baby Yoda and the character played by Gina Carano) it has been quiet on that front.
Dave Filoni told Collider about writing the first film. Filoni's quote: It was not an easy journey, but it was very rewarding when I finished it. Because I have been working on Star Wars since the beginning, but you don't actually do that work, and you can't really understand what you're doing until you finish it. And I had this very unique experience of making a live-action sci-fi film in my head before I even made the movie. So it was something that was very new to me, but also something that I knew I wanted to do. It was more like playing as opposed to creating.
The process of creating the story was different, which was a bit daunting, because all of my Star Wars work up to that point had been to create things - to make art. So to jump into trying to tell a story was new, and it was really fun to do it. That was all through the writing, but then once we had done the writing, then we had to go off and figure out how to make the movie, how to figure out what cameras we'd be using, what effects we'd be using, how we'd figure out an environment for these characters to move in. So there were a lot of moments where I would be like, 'How are we going to build this? How are we going to see it?' Then, once we started shooting, it was just like having a conversation with someone who knows what they're talking about. There were moments of, 'Okay, I can kind of imagine this,' or, 'Okay, that seems right.
Is there a season 4 of The Mandalorian?
So far this is the most interesting animated series in awhile that isn't based on some type of Disney or other media franchise. I'd love to find out more about The Mandalorian if they were planning any future seasons. Has anyone heard anything about it? I'd love to see more episodes so can anyone shed light on how often we'll get to see Star Wars: The Mandalorian with its awesome voice cast, great visuals and fun characters. Dan
So far, as best as I know, this isn't another season of SW. So, that would mean Disney's The Mandalorian is the only live-action Star Wars show we're getting for at least a few years.
But, in theory, if Disney really wanted to, they could continue The Mandalorian into a full movie. So, I'm hoping they will continue it into season two or three of The Mandalorian.
They haven't made any announcements about seasons 2 or 3 yet, but, based on what we know about this show, it sounds like it's very likely. Dan There were plans to add more live action TV show with different kind of story based in classic movies, like the ones from the old original trilogy era. But, no official announcements yet about that. Dan
Well according to an episode of the Mandelorian, the first season was all live action. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a second season, if anything at the same quality of the first season. That is not saying that a second season wouldn't be great, it's just hard to imagine how it would be good considering how the first season ended. If they want to add more episodes I feel that they should make The Mandalorian into a sequel series, since it ended so naturally and well.

Here's what Disney has to say about that
