What is my mobile network IP address?
A mobile phone is linked to a base station through a mobile network.
The phone uses a SIM card to identify the network. To access the network, your phone must use a mobile number. At any given time, you can only make or receive calls on the network identified with your SIM card.
How do I call someone else on my network? Your phone works with your base station to access the mobile network and dial the person's number. This is a phone service. When it comes to making calls, you simply dial the phone number from a landline phone.
How can I call another country? You cannot call a number in another country using your phone number unless you have a special number that enables you to place long distance calls. However, once your number is linked to your country of residence, you can also call any other country in the world by dialing the country code from your own number. For example, if you live in England and want to call Poland, you would dial 00 44 to access Polish numbers. To call an international destination using a landline phone number, you would dial the country's country code, the local area code and the called number. You can access the country's dialing information on your phone by scrolling down on your phone's keypad. Alternatively, some operators sell an international dialling card for use in mobile phones. You can see what operators are available in your region at:
I can't dial a call from my UK mobile phone number to a destination outside the UK. What can I do? The UK is divided into three regions: London, South East England, and Northern Ireland (see our map of the regions). A majority of UK numbers start with '0845', the regional prefix for London, South East England and Northern Ireland, and '0808', which covers the rest of the UK. You need to know the region code to dialling a non-UK number. For example, the following numbers have different startings, depending on which part of the UK you are in:
London start '0845': eg. 0845 123 456 South East England start '0845': eg. 0845 123 456 Northern Ireland start '0845': eg.
How do I find the IP address of a device connected to my hotspot?
I have an iPhone and an iPad plugged into my wifi hotspot.
How can I find out what their IP addresses are? You can get the current IP addresses of other devices connected to a hotspot by typing this command in the terminal. Sudo ipconfig. You'll get a lot of info in return, but if you want the IP addresses then use this command. Ifconfig 12.12 (or x.x) scope host lo
inet addr:127.0.1 (or localhost) scope host lo
inet6 addr: fe80::22:66ff:fe6d:4e7a/64 Scope link. inet6 addr: ::1/128 Scope link. .(other address details).
Do mobile phones have IP addresses?
I've been trying to find the answer for this question for a while now, but I have failed.
Does any body know if mobile phones have their own IP address? I think the question is if all mobile phones share the same IP. No, mobile phones often have their own IP addresses. That's what I thought. So does it mean that ALL mobile phones are on the same LAN and they all share one IP, or only some mobiles? More than likely only some mobiles share the same IP address. Some of them are likely inside a home/building and not visible to the internet at large. These are called private IP addresses.
