Does Prime have Kids shows?
As a young adult, I remember watching shows on TV that I was sure were for kids, but turned out to be more about a mature audience.
When I look back on it, I have no clue what I watched on TV that had the characters be in their late teens or early twenties. Maybe I'm making it up, but I think these are examples of shows that I remember as having younger audiences.
If anyone can share the names and approximate years of shows where the main characters were much older than their characters, please share. Thanks! I remember "One Life to Live" was shown when I was a young child and we would watch it together as a family. The show was aimed at a younger audience but the characters were very mature. I don't remember being able to identify any of the characters but they definitely were not kids.
When I was in my early teens, I remember a couple shows that I thought were targeted at a younger audience but were actually more for a mature audience. They were called "Knots Landing" and "Dallas". I think they aired in the mid-to-late 1980s and early 1990s.
I remember a show called "Cheers" when I was a teen. My mother bought a bunch of kids' albums because she wanted to learn how to make Christmas presents out of the songs. I was surprised at the content.
I know there were a couple shows that had the characters age around 20-25. I do not remember the titles. I remember that they were about an older married couple with one of them dating someone who was younger than the other. I don't remember if that was just one show, or several.
Are you talking about "Rhoda"? That might be it. I think there were 4-5 seasons. I'm not sure why I remember the show so clearly, especially since I don't remember the titles or the characters.
I also know that there was a sitcom called "One Day At A Time" that was on NBC in the late '60s and early '70s.
