Is there any show like Modern Family?
(or any other show where the actors, directors, and writers all work together), but that I could watch for hours? The answer to both questions is a resounding no. This is in spite of it being the highest-rated show on television since its debut this summer. That's right, The Big Bang Theory may be the most-watched comedy since its premiere in May 2024, but Modern Family was not even in the top three. How can this be? Let me try to explain.
Let me start off by clarifying that I don't mean by this question that a show needs be similar to a series to be able to achieve this kind of popularity. That's not what I mean at all. I understand that there's some people out there who think that this kind of thing happens due to dumb luck and/or blind luck. If you've ever watched the credits on TV, you know that no show can hope to have hit ratings like Modern Family without working hard. So maybe if we make more shows that are as hit worthy then these sorts of ratings will become more probable?
Unfortunately, this explanation is too narrow, because ratings for shows like this continue to go up across the board, no matter what, and even when new shows are released. That means it has to be more than dumb luck; it has to be something else, but what? When the new Big Bang Theory premiere hit last week, for example, it had the number-one spot for the season finale of Game of Thrones, which also happened to move its average audience by 10%.
So we need to change the question to something that might be able to help us. Why are such shows considered so popular? Is it because they somehow reach out to the heart strings of their viewers? This kind of explanation will also just be too easy. It has been my experience that you can tell how much a show appeals to people by watching the ratings, and knowing what it is trying to do. For example, it's clear how a movie with the intention of being entertaining appeals to a greater mass of the populace compared to a film with the intention of raising social consciousness, for example. We see that from films to music to theater. So why should it be any different for television?
Are there any family friendly series on Netflix?
I have several shows that I've seen on Netflix and I don't really like them.
But they're my only option on Netflix.
The family movies are either boring or not family friendly enough to be considered family friendly, while the cartoons that are family friendly are too kid oriented. Are there any shows on Netflix that are actually family friendly? What are some examples? 10 Answers. 10
There's a few that fit your criteria. The first is the cartoon Samurai Jack. It's not as kid-friendly as the other shows listed here, but it is still animated, is a little less violent than most and it's not overly sexualized.
Then there's The Secret Life of Pets, which is animated. If you're going to be watching one, watch this instead. The main character isn't fully human.
You mentioned that some cartoons were kid-friendly. Many of them are rated PG (unless they're from the 80s or early 90s). There's two on Netflix, though both aren't on right now.
The first is The Adventures of Pepero. This one, while it might be a little scary for adults, is generally good. It's all kids, so it's family friendly. However, it's a short movie, just 20 minutes long. It's one of the few that has a song at the end, too.
The second is Tom and Jerry. I've only watched it once, but I found it to be very funny. The main character is a cat that doesn't talk.
So the only ones I'm thinking of are Pepero and Tom and Jerry. There is one more I thought of that was on Netflix that would be in a similar vein. In the House. This is an American sitcom that airs on Comedy Central. It's not too kid-friendly by itself. But it's pretty much entirely set in a house full of kids. So, although it is not totally family-friendly, it is about as close as you're going to get on Netflix.
However, my personal favorite would have to be The Family Guy.
What can a 13 year old watch?
I have a 13 year old boy and it was his birthday last week.
I got him this new thing to watch, I won't give the name of the thing but it is a new thing to watch. The company is based in America. The thing had a few buttons to press and lights to watch, all the sounds are done by it self which makes me very happy but it has problems. It will make a noise and the lights flash if there is a big problem like a flat battery. The battery inside was made from acid (I don't know if you were aware this is illegal for them to make these batteries in the States) and they use some really strong batteries that aren't the same as your normal ones. The thing has the same battery capacity as your average cellphone even though the size of the battery is much bigger than your normal one. Now as I said it has problems, here is what I want to know:
As he starts it up, it will make some noise and lights flash once it begins to start. Is that normal or is it a big problem? Even though it will have a flat battery, should it not work if it doesn't charge for a long time? If so, I thought acid batteries would cause a problem if left for so long. When he wants to turn it off should it actually turn off or does the fact it has a flat battery make it never fully turn off? If it goes to turn off, does it make a short or long sound. If it is a long sound will it make more sounds or just make a "click" sound? Also, even though I have it turned down as low as I can get it and I won't plug it in unless we need to use it, will there be any weird sounds if we do use it occasionally? He loves having a new "thing" so I want to make sure there won't be any weird noises whenever we plug it in. We don't use it that often except when we are out and about and I am not worried about having a strange sound when we do plug it in.
Are there any clean series on Netflix?
I am looking for clean series that aren't too long and I don't watch much horror (because I find it disgusting and horrible). I watch mainly comedy and romance but like watching clean shows. Any recommendations?
I watch a lot of shows on Netflix! But they're not always what you're thinking about. For example, Lorelei just ended (as of November 2018) and Master of None ends in December 2024. I just watched The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt yesterday, on the last Sunday of this month, because I couldn't stop watching Netflix and it's on that list you quoted, but I won't be going back to it because, as they say, it has spare time in the title and it's not worth watching if you don't have any spare time.
But there are plenty of shows that aren't on your must-watch lists that are worth watching.
