Is double VPN worth it?

What happens if you have 2 VPNs on?

When I tried to install Kaspersky the other day I saw that it wants a Microsoft "Network Connection" that I do not have.

So, when I run the setup program it says "Cannot create connection. Check settings".

You could try to use another VPN if you have a Kaspersky account with a non-Windows connection. I didn't understand how 2 VPNs are a problem with Kaspersky. No, it is not a problem with the VPN. If you have multiple connections (with one of them being a Windows network connection) Kaspersky will prompt you for which one you want to use.

Because you are trying to connect to a Windows OS (via your VPN) and Kaspersky wants a Windows connection. To clarify: 2 VPNs (Windows and non-Windows) does not make a difference (at least not directly) but Kaspersky will prompt you for which connection to use. It's like the difference between using IE/Firefox vs Chrome/Safari.e. If you use both then you can just choose which connection you want to use. Yes, I have an account with Kaspersky that uses a non-Windows connection. I am still trying to get Kaspersky to work on my PC, however, the fact that I don't have a Windows Network Connection has me stumped. It says something about needing a windows connection to create a connection.

I am not quite sure what you are saying about two VPNs. Two VPNs (which can be any type, ie P2P VPN, etc. I'm assuming you have two VPNs installed on your system? Then, when you try to run Kaspersky, it needs a Windows Network connection. A VPN is just a way to mask your IP address from certain servers.

Is Double VPN overkill?

We all know you can't just buy any VPN when the traffic passes through your home.

Your ISP could block it, it can be less secure, and depending on how much your device/carrier is connected to the Internet, it can slow the entire experience down. (Remember when you downloaded a song from YouTube? The lag is because of your ISP.) You should use the best VPN money can buy. But maybe

You have no internet service, but it's your birthday and you want to try out a VPN for the first time. Double VPN is a great option if the other person you're connecting with has access to something with a network connection. For example, the company's own office or some kind of corporate network, where you don't have direct access to the internet. You can even set this up on most Android devices! The VPN is free and does come with several features like automatic kill switches so you know that you aren't the only one connected to the network, logging-based IP blocking so you don't accidentally connect to an incorrect network, or even being capable of hiding information about you browsing habits as Tor over VPN.

Even if your ISP doesn't block the service, sometimes they still filter data and add a bit of a delay to your web browsing experience, so that's always a good thing. If your house only has ethernet, no mobile hotspot, and your family has 3 cell phones with wifi capabilities. This can be a challenge if your family uses the same wifi hotspot as you to stream video from Netflix or YouTube, or browse reddit, or find a hot girlfriend at college (hey, we're human). It can become an incredibly dangerous setup if an employee connects their personal device or gets ahold of the password/device and starts watching your personal media without your permission. If your neighbor (not family) is a little too trusting and gives their phone password to another coworker, and the other coworker doesn't ask permission for your account, you'll find yourself streaming videos with a coworker and their personal friends who are listening in.

So what options do you have? How does WiFi Hotspot vs Double VPN play out?
