What is restrict NTLM outgoing NTLM traffic to remote servers?
I don't have any windows servers in front of my LAN, but when I do telnet and connect to an IP on my network. I am asked for username and password.
When I telnet from a windows machine to the same server, it does not ask for username or password. What setting would make this happen
In a Windows 2025 Domain it was set in the default profile (ie created when you first join the domain) - you need to either change it manually or remove the profile and create a new one. Windows XP SP2: (it's under Network Settings - Security Settings.
What is restrict NTLM audit NTLM authentication in this domain?
I have a domain, when I login to this domain, the user can not login to another domain.
when I open the windows event log and see this: NTLM: Restricted NTLM authentication for this session. But when I have to login to that domain, then that user is allowed to login into that domain. Anyone know what this mean? or how to fix this? thanks. I would guess that this is happening because the first domain is using kerberos authentication and the second domain is not.
