What is HTML form URL encoded?
I'm still new to web development, please bear with me.
Is this form url encoded?
. The URL is. Am I right that "a" has values "1" and "2", and each of "u" and "e" has values such as "test@example.com", and "Plese delete me"? What's more confusing to me, why does action="/cgi-bin/formmail.cgi" have "1" or "2" in it too? And why are those "a" and "e" and "commit" variables? Is it because they can be used in formmail.cgi, as the first variable?Thank you very much! action="foo.cgi" would cause foo.cgi to be invoked whenever the form was submitted (and nothing else). So that if it's invoked in two tabs it will perform the exact same task and it would do so with the parameters given in the first tab, then with the next one and so on. Since action attributes should not contain any executable code, it looks like those values probably come from a POST/GET parameter.
What is form URL encoded data?
If you're using Google, you already know that URL encoded data is pretty essential form submission to work properly. It makes a difference between: URL encoding a key is a way to make sure a value is not mistakenly considered a key. What are the common URL parameters that are URL encoded? The following are common, and all are URL encoded: query. Urlencode. Fragment. Sort. Page. Limit. Filter. Include. Exclude. Author. Feed. Email. FormId. FormToken. Category. Sortby. Paged. Published. Tags. View. FeedId. Viewcount. PubDate. The parameter types aren't limited to the above. There are many more. All parameters are optional, except for page, sort, category, and tag. The values are optional unless you use named arguments.
Is query a special case? Why are name and value considered to be separate parameters? While query and value are different (see below), that difference is only at the PHP level, not by any spec. If you look at the documentation on how query and value are specified as URLs: They have the same name and different values. They use different names for the first argument to drupalsetmessage(.): . . In addition to the value, they have an array key of name because you're not dealing with normal form submissions. You are handling them manually with Drupal's set message API.
What if I want to name the value of the argument? The easiest way to avoid a conflict with named arguments and name normal parameters would be something like this:
How do I filter a URL in Wireshark?
From time to time, one of our network engineers will be running a filter based on URL or URI using Wireshark.
Sometimes, I even know what the filter criteria is, but other times, I will just want to see if my company uses HTTPS or not as a way to determine their status.
But I have no idea what this is suppose to do for me? How is it suppose to help me? How does my company have a website? Does that website use HTTP, HTTPS or some other protocol/transport? Is there an actual filter criteria I need to use? The best way I have ever found is to set up the filter for your company's domain name in the Filter drop-down menu and then select the appropriate protocol.
