What days are vacation packages cheapest?

What days are vacation packages cheapest?

Cheapest is best of course - that's like what most travelers dream about, and what we have been hearing about as must see destinations from our clients.

What may shock people is the answer: Virtually the very first day! (Which is Monday through Wednesday!). When you buy a Monday - Wednesday package this weekend at the lowest price and book within 24 hours, you can expect to get the deal at virtually the earliest opportunity available. And once it is available it will be gone. Our research shows only about three percent of the travelers taking advantage of this find the last moment deal. And of those who find it, almost ninety percent wait until closer to the date of travel to take advantage. Our experience is that when you wait, you usually have to wait, and when you look early in the trip planning process, there are many days to choose from. You're in a great position.

But you may be shocked to know that almost all of our clients don't book more than a week in advance so they are guaranteed this lowest rate. Which means that even with the wait till later method, more than 80 percent of our travelers can get a good deal if they wait before they book. They can still choose from seven other dates that are also good, but they have to wait, and the cost for those stays could be less on a later available date. The difference between having those options at their disposal versus only getting a day or two later could be significant.

And finally, the third surprise is that the rates for the very last day of your vacation is usually the very lowest price available. But we understand it's often hard to say goodbye and leave a property even if you just want the very last day because of emotional baggage involved.

What day of the week is best for families? How about couples? There is some common sense here, too: When couples are traveling together and a weekday package is purchased, the cheaper Tuesday through Thursday option tends to be available on Tuesday and Wednesday when only one couple is buying in that weekend. The family of four usually purchases during either the midweek period of Tuesday through Thursday or the weekends. We find the Tuesday through Thursday vacation the cheapest by nearly a dollar a day.

Are funjet and apple Vacations the same?

I am planning to take a trip to Florida with my girlfriend starting the end of August and returning in early October and plan on going to Orlando, Disneyworld, San Antonio and Miami.

I have about 30-45 days available. We want to get away for a fun, but relaxing trip. I am also planning on doing a cruise and am open to suggestions as far as activities.

After trying a lot of trips and reading different forums, this seems to be one of the most recommended trips for a couple's first time since we've had two great vacations that included a stay in a private condo. Would anyone recommend a vacation to Funjet or an Apple Vacation? Which are cheaper and which one is the better choice? Any advice, recommendations would be helpful! Thanks in advance! All depends on how long you are staying per the dates you have available. For a Disney World stay to be cheaper, you can't take advantage off season rates. That's like half the cost of your package. Even cheaper when compared to your hotel room at the Walt Disney World Resort, where the resort taxes are taken out of your price.

Add in airfare if you're going to the same destination, those alone make one of these much cheaper to book. As you say, there will be less to do with Disney World in "off season".

Is it better to book vacation package?

I live in Boston, and am going to spend 6 nights at the Grand Hyatt hotel in Orlando over the Christmas holidays.

Do I wait and book the vacation package, or is it better to book hotel accommodations separately? From the Hyatt's site. We've put together a list of the reasons you might want to consider visiting Orlando over the Christmas holidays. If your main reason for visiting is for fun - you may consider booking separate accommodations in Orlando because our hotels are normally closed at this time of year. If you're travelling to spend Christmas with loved ones, and holiday crowds aren't your thing, you may consider booking your holiday package.]
To be honest, the only people we would rather have spend Christmas with their families are our guests and employees (so if you visit our website at this time of year, chances are we will already know you're coming and might not even have an available room). If we had more space and less demand during this period, we'd allow guests to book a vacation package and enjoy Christmas together in the Hyatt Grand Cypress at a discount. But until then, we'll be happy to have you come here on your own and celebrate this special occasion in a way that suits you.

I'm assuming they'd offer the same service if you asked after December 24th when they're typically open to booking. However, it's likely that rates/availability would be higher.
