Is there a demand for QA testers?
I'm currently an ITQI've just started doing web work, but I'm thinking of going back to school to get my CS degree.
I'm trying to get a job as a QA tester, but it seems like there's not a demand for that.
There's a demand, but it's not a high-paying job. It's a job you have to do on the side because you're not in a position to find a better job (or you're not interested in finding a better job). If you're into programming and want to be a professional tester, then you need to get a CS degree and work on your own stuff.
That's where I'm at right now, so I wouldn't try to get a full-time job as a QA tester unless you're confident in your programming skills. There are many other jobs in QA as well as some that aren't strictly testing. You might consider some of the following: Software Architect. Solution Engineer. Test Lead. Software Engineer. Test Lead. QA Manager. Sr. QA Engineer Release Manager. Testing Analyst. Senior Test Manager. Software Engineer QA. QA Manager. Programmer - QA. QA Manager - Senior. Senior QA Engineer. QA Architect. Quality Assurance Analyst. Technical Consultant. Software Engineer. QA Manager - Mid-Senior. Quality Assurance Analyst - Senior. Software Engineer - QA. Technical Consultant. QA Analyst. Quality Assurance Engineer. Software Engineer. QA Analyst. Testing Analyst. Software Engineer - QA. QA Engineer. QA Manager - Mid-Senior. Software Engineer. Quality Assurance Analyst. Software Engineer. QA Analyst. QA Engineer. Testing Analyst. Technical Consultant. QA Manager - Mid-Senior. Software Engineer. Quality Assurance Analyst. Software Engineer. QA Analyst. QA Engineer. Is QA Tester a hard job?
I have never been a QA Tester and I think it is a hard job to be a QA Tester.
I was not even a software developer before so I am a total noob to the software development world. What I am trying to say is, I do not know much about the subject and I do not know how to get started in QMy question is: What are the key areas I need to master to be able to do a good job as a QA Tester? I know you guys have all the answers, but I would like to know from you guys what are the things that I need to learn and master to be able to do a good job as a QA Tester.

There are a lot of tasks that can be done with tools. The best thing is to start learning and applying them.
When I read this forum, I can't believe there are so many people that know so much about programming and software development. I am so new to this and I just wanted to share my experience. I am in university at the moment and I am taking a course on programming and I thought it would be a good opportunity to become a programmer. The course I am taking is called BSc Computing. As part of the course we are required to do a project. We have been assigned a project where we will have to develop a web-based application. I have no idea what I am doing and I am very nervous about starting. I think it would be easier if I were to learn this way. What should I do?

This question has been on my mind for the past few days, and today I have finally decided to post about it. If you are in any way a techie, or would like to be a techie, then this blogpost is for you. I will explain to you the many ways you can become a quality assurance (QA) with no experience.
The first step, however, is to admit that it is a very broad question. I will attempt to break down the definition of QA into smaller parts and then see what can be done about it. But before we get started, I want to make sure that you know that this isn't just another quick-fix blog post that's going to sell you some books and give you some tools. This is a legitimate way of getting certified and getting your own professional QA certification.
I will try to go as deep as possible. This post is only meant to introduce you to the field, and not to teach you everything that's there to learn. That being said, what exactly is quality assurance? It's basically about testing the quality of a product or service before it's released. QA's job is to test whether the software is up to date, secure, stable, tested, and bug free.
Before we get started, you should know that there are three main ways to go about becoming a Q1) Be part of a larger company. 2) Work for yourself. 3) Work for someone else. Let's start by looking at the first two methods, which you might think would be the most straightforward. 1) Get hired as a QA. This is the route I recommend, but I know some people don't like it. If you can prove to them that you are one of the best at what you do, then they will be more than happy to hire you. I am a QA for one of the biggest tech companies in the world, and all I had to do was apply for the QA position. They told me that they would hire me within the next month.
When looking for a QA position, make sure that the company is actually a leader in their industry.
How much do QA testers make in NYC?
I am a software tester in NYC.
I have been here for about 1.5 years now. I am interested in knowing what salary/pay they get. I know there are several companies out there, but how do you think one might find out?
Re: ? Hello there. My name is David and I'm a QA tester here in NYC. I'm interested in your question as well. I have no idea how I could find out, but I can try to answer any questions you might have about my job.
For starters, I'm sure you are aware of the testing job market here, and in most of the country. For this reason, a QA position here is a very sought after position. If you are willing to be flexible, and travel between NYC and your home state, it may be easier to find a better paying job there. The company I work for is primarily distributed; our base of operation is in Virginia. We have two New York City offices, and a couple of Boston offices, and I live in Connecticut. Our clients are distributed as well, but I am not aware of any other employees that live in NY City. That being said, I've had to relocate a couple of times in the past year, to make room for new people, so I'm not sure if that would make it easier or harder to find work.
I'm happy to talk with you about the job itself. I know that I could probably make a living wage in the NYC area, if I wanted to work for myself. As a tester, you have a lot of job security, and the job can vary greatly. If you've been working in an office, then you'll probably be assigned a lot of manual tasks. If you like this sort of thing, you'll probably like QIt is a fast paced job, and you'll be jumping from one testing project to the next. If you have an interest in the Internet, then you will work a lot with the web.
If you have any other questions, or if you'd like to ask me anything specific, please let me know.
