Does CareerBuilder have an app?
I know that it can be accessed on mobile devices, but is it possible to create an app for it?
Not yet. We're working one for our new mobile site and Android app.
A career builder mobile app would allow users to enter a job posting/job board, complete a search, and then browse jobs based on specific job types. I think the market has a lot of room for a company that can do this. But for now, we're still in the ideation phase.
Aww, I was really hoping you'd answer me because I have been looking at the Careerbuilder.com mobile site and I was just wondering if it was going to be an app. It was the first thing that came to mind when I signed in.
In fact, I even put CareerBuilder.com on my Android as my home screen because I assumed it was an app.
Is CareerBuilder a legit site?
So when I tried to set my Job Alert on this site and apply, it took a while and had several problems.
What is their security? Is it even worth going through them? Is there any other better sources to apply for jobs.
They don't accept your resume when you put it in. But when I try to use it, they ask if you ever worked there and then it comes back up with a blank page. So there goes that. Also what's the best way to get a job without pay. Should I put in an application at a different site? or something? I want a job right away! Thanks
Yeah, I noticed that too.it keeps giving me the "you've already applied" page even though I've filled out the form and clicked submit 3 times! That is strange. Has anybody else had the same issue? I've heard about those, but have no experience with them. I'm starting to wonder whether I'll need to make a new account on each site just to get information about these new websites.that seems kinda silly (in addition to being time consuming) that would need to be done.
Well for one, I've worked at a bunch of companies that use Careerbuilder.com and the vast majority of times I was able to make sure a company knows who I am and they can send an email right to me and not everyone else. That's the beauty of it, it's easy. The downfall is, it only gives job alerts. I usually sign up for a month, then have to check each job for a month until something comes across. There are other sites, but I haven't seen much of it. Honestly, just stick with posting on sites like Monster or LinkedIN.
I work at CareerBuilder. We're very big in the HR space because of the data that we've collected. You can't believe how bad people can be.
I have an account and an applicant. I get a call all the time from a recruiter looking for someone like me. One of the few things that are good about this site is that no one will ever call you looking for someone like yourself (for a couple reasons.) For instance if you go to someones post. All you have to do is click their user name and you get sent to their profile. Most of the time, they dont have pictures of themselves on their profile.
What is the difference between Indeed and CareerBuilder?
The short answer is little to none.
CareerBuilder is a career and job search website, with around 60% of its traffic being from the United States. Indeed is a global job search website that is popular for its international job boards and its vast international job opportunities database.
Both are free to use and are very similar in their user interface. They're also both owned by the same company, Recruit Holdings.
However, there are some key differences between the two that could impact the ways in which you use each site: They have different job boards. They don't pay commission on job listings. They have different ways of finding jobs. Indeed and CareerBuilder have both recently launched new job boards focused on different industries, sectors, or geographies. In this post, we'll explore these and other differences between the sites and what they can offer you as a job seeker. This post does not include information on how to find jobs on the sites; we do have guides for that on our careers website. This post focuses on differences in the features of the job boards on the two sites.
The job boards on both sites are also fairly similar in the features they offer and job information that they include. For example, you can find information about salary, company, and location information on both sites, as well as job categories and job types.
If you prefer to search for jobs on the site, you'll also be able to find them on both sites. There are some differences between the job search features available on the sites, though. While both sites offer similar job search features, they differ in a number of key areas. Let's dive into those differences.
When are job boards available? You can find job listings on the sites on a 24/7 basis, or at least as far as your browser allows you to use them. As you can see from the following images, CareerBuilder's job board has a time limit of three hours, while Indeed's is open indefinitely.
The first difference you'll notice is the time limits you can use the job boards. Though they don't have a set limit, most jobs will probably close during the working week between 8am and 5pm London time.
Is there an app that helps you find a job?
When were at Google in 2024, I wanted to get out and search for jobs. It wasn't a simple thing. The first thing you do is get your resume up on Monster or CareerBuilder, and then you look at the listings. They weren't necessarily great, and you had to apply through a third-party recruiter. We wanted a better way to find jobs.
We'd looked into a number of things like job boards, we built it internally and launched it at Google and found that it was a little bit too early. It just wasn't there, so we didn't really want to spend the time to build it. Then in 2024, they introduced the applicant tracking system, ATS, and we found out how powerful it is and started looking into it again.
We did a bunch of stuff internally, and we actually bought a couple of small companies that were doing this and built a service out of it. When we launched it, we focused more on helping you put together a resume and help you get your resume out into the market.
The whole idea of building your resume is something we've seen the most improvement on over the last couple years, because we realized that it's not that much work for you to go through the process and have a good resume. But a lot of people don't know how to make it happen, and we saw that if you could help people build their resume, it would help them in a couple ways.
First, you'd get more resumes out into the market, which would increase your chance of getting your resume seen by a recruiter. Second, it would help you get better at the recruiting side of things, because you'd be talking with recruiters every day and learning about their problems, so you'd have a better chance of getting the right job.
We've had a bunch of great feedback from a bunch of different startups we get a lot of usage from YC companies. The more startups that are using it, the more usage we get.
What are some other apps that help with job hunting? The thing I don't like about job hunting apps is there's a lot of apps out there. If you look at any of them, you see what I mean.
