How do I access blocked sites in Chrome extensions?
If you install a Chrome extension, it can access any websites you have permission to visit.
But what if I want to restrict my extension to a specific website? If your extension is a manifest. Now you can use the extension to access the blocked site.
If you want to use a different domain name, you can use the manifest.json method again, but use the host property.com"
When is it safe to access blocked sites from a Chrome extension? You can safely access any website that you have permission to visit. If you're accessing a site using a web browser, and the site is on a different domain than your extension, then your extension can access the site. For example, if you have an extension that listens to your microphone and uploads audio to Amazon S3, you can use the Amazon API to listen to that site.
If you're accessing a site using an embedded browser (like a QR code), then your extension can access the site. If you're accessing a site that has CORS (Cross Origin Resource Sharing) enabled, then your extension can access the site.
How do I unblock Chrome extensions by administrator?
Can I temporarily allow a new Chrome extension for one particular website/folder on my device?

How do I get Chrome extensions on my school Chromebook?
I recently picked up a 2024 11.
6" model of the Samsung Chromebook Pro. I like it, but am having a hard time getting Chrome extensions working on it.
The problem is that when I install them on my other Chromebooks (2012 and 2024 models), I get an error saying that the "This extension is not allowed in this school". I can't find an option to either enable or disable them on the Chromebook Pro. I have tried using the Chrome web store and using the Chrome browser options to check, but it isn't even listed there.
I have no idea what to do next, or how to proceed. Do you know how I can add Google Maps to my Chrome OS device? Re: ? A similar situation happened to me.I had enabled location sharing on my old Samsung C7 and wanted to be able to control my home PC from the school one so I turned on location sharing. The Chromebook was able to see my home network (via LAN IP address) but I couldn't see the computer I wanted to control. I tried changing settings to allow access via wifi, nothing. The only solution was to plug in ethernet, then use my home wifi.e. So I just disabled location sharing and its working great.
Well it looks like that's the answer I was looking for. When I go to the web store, I can click the "Learn more about apps and extensions for Chrome OS" link to access an overview page where I can choose to add items to my home list. From there I can select the "Home" option.
After reading all of your posts, I realize that my situation is a little different. In my case, I'm unable to connect to my home network without being connected to the Internet.
The Chromebook Pro works fine if I'm connected to the Internet. I can access the web store, and open apps and extensions. But none of them will work until I've been connected to the Internet. Once I'm connected, I can access the web store and open apps and extensions. I don't know why that would be. I thought it would be a bit obvious.
I can connect to my home network when I'm connected to the Internet.
