How do I use a proxy for Wi-Fi?

I'm using a proxy for my Internet connection. How can I use this same proxy for Wi-Fi? Answer: Here are the steps to configure your router to use a proxy for Wi-Fi and to connect to a network using a different username and password than your regular login: Power up the router. Connect your laptop to the router's Wi-Fi network. Open the Network and Sharing Center. Click Change adapter settings. Under Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), select Use a proxy server. Enter the IP address and port number of the proxy server in the Address box, and then enter the proxy server's username and password in the User name and Password boxes. The IP address is the IP address of the proxy server. If you want to use the proxy server to access multiple networks, enter the IP address of each network in the Multiple addresses box.

Select the Preferred DNS servers for this connection check box, and then click OK. Click Apply changes. Close the Network and Sharing Center. You can also open the Network and Sharing Center by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Network and Internet, and then clicking Network and Sharing Center. Using the Wi-Fi Sense feature on Windows 8.1 Wi-Fi Sense is an app that allows you to share your network with your contacts. You can share your Wi-Fi connection, and your contacts can access the Wi-Fi network by using their phone or tablet. The contacts can also use the Wi-Fi network without having to type the username and password of your router.

Wi-Fi Sense lets you share the Wi-Fi connection between your computer and your tablet or smartphone. In addition, you can use Wi-Fi Sense to create a guest network for your friends or family who can access your Wi-Fi connection without logging in.

If you have multiple Wi-Fi networks on your home network, Wi-Fi Sense can also automatically detect the Wi-Fi networks that you have shared with your contacts. When your contacts log in with Wi-Fi Sense, they can see the Wi-Fi networks that you have shared.

Is proxy the same as IP address?

For example, what is the IP address of a computer in the same network as my router?

Is it my IP address? What if I am connected to my router through a VPN (router is in a different network). An IP address is not the same as a computer name. An IP address is used to identify a host on the network. That is, an IP address uniquely identifies a host on the network.

If you have two hosts on the same network with the same IP address, then they will have the same computer name. It is not possible for a router to have a host name because routers are not hosts.

Should I set proxy on or off?

I've looked on the internet for answer but nothing helped.

I'm trying to open google.com through browser, I want if I set my proxy(IP and port), it will automatically use that proxy for all other websites I am going to assume you are using a desktop OS. You need to turn the Proxy settings into DNS. Go to Settings. Advanced Settings. DNS: Turn off the "Use system wide settings" box. Then type Google in the search box. It will come up with a list of links. The first one should be your DNS. That is where your proxy settings are stored, so this will help you find them.

If there is no proxy in the DNS at all, you will not be able to connect to anything outside of your local network. I would suggest setting up a DNS entry of 8.8 This was the main DNS when the internet first came about.
