How do I copy an online table into Excel?
I have a table that I've created online, with three columns and about 10 rows.
How can I copy this into Excel? It's not saving the table as an image, and I want to save it as a table in Excel.
You may want to try this. First, insert a web table into a new sheet in Excel. This will copy the table into Excel.
In Excel go to Insert> Web Table. Then click on the cell you want the table in. Then copy and paste.
How do I convert a website table to Excel?
Hi, I have a website that has a table formatted like so.
It looks like this: I am looking to export this data to a spreadsheet, however, I don't know how to convert the text into a readable format. Home
If you have any ideas on how to do this, or suggestions I would appreciate the help! Thanks for your time. It's not exactly straightforward but here is one approach. The idea here is that the column headings are a little misleading - you get the numbers by using a list.
Convert the page to an Excel 2025 XLS file using OpenOffice Impressor. Save the output. Open the saved file. Select all cells in Column A with Format Cells > Custom. Change Font > Font Size > 8. Change Font > Font Color > White. Use the number to match up the text with the column header in another sheet. Select the entire column that has your numbers. Click Data > Sort. Click the option to Sort. Click the Sort Key in drop-down box. Type 1 in Sort Type box. Click OK to apply the sort. Now select the cell just below the number and copy it. Paste it into a new sheet.
In the new sheet use Text to Columns to split the cell into a column. Format the column to whatever style you need. If you need the column headings back, you could add those as a second column but then you need to do the sorting twice.
