Can I control my child's iPhone from my iPhone?

Our 7-year old twins were given a choice to leave a room because their toys/crap were found on the floor, it was a classroom room, I was told.

The 7-year old twins (my kids) are only allowed to use Apple products, (and I think thats a fair enough restriction to have.) So I thought, 'Great, they're given a choice; they'll choose not to do what's "right" for them!' My son asked 'Can I have my older brother's iPhone to use when my room is in use?' My other son didn't ask and didn't do anything else in this situation, just returned to his room. Now the situation has arisen again but I'm not sure I'll give in like my eldest, he said that last time in another situation I should have given him the same option and he got "gloated" about it. Does anybody know of any apps that you can control your phone from your phone with these Apple products? Thanks and Regards, P.

Comments. The thing is with the rules set out above, they are more the rule than the reason. You aren't going to argue that a teenager with an iphone will behave in a certain way when outwith the house but when inside the house they don't care.

So yes, I suppose you have a point but not in every circumstance that you suggest.

How do I temporarily disable my child's iPhone?

There is an issue with the security of the iPhone.

It seems that it is quite easy to bypass the code that protects the apps, ie to make the code to remove the protection of the apps useless. You can read about it at a popular Apple blog called The Guardian.

I have a problem. My iPhone is protected by a four-digit passcode. I want my child to use this iPhone but at the same time I don't want to take away the security of the iPhone. So, I want to have the ability to disable this security. So that my child can use the iPhone but still not have access to any data that I don't want her to have. How do I do that?

My thoughts. Well, there are two possibilities: 1) Lock the phone completely so that the child can't use it (I don't want that). 2) Enable disabling of the security so that she can use the phone but not be able to see what the data is. I want to have the possibility to enable the security because I know it is possible to do so. I mean, I think it's possible to change the security of the phone in iOS Settings>General>Passcode.

When I go to this option, I get the following message: This iPhone has been registered with your iTunes account. If you choose to use another device with your existing iTunes account, all your content on this iPhone will be available to the new device. If you don't want to use the new device, change your account settings to disable automatic syncing. It seems that it is possible to have both security and at the same time having access to the iPhone. What do you think? So, the child can only use the iPhone when I turn off the security on the iPhone. But, what happens if the child tries to view the protected data on the iPhone when I enable the security (for example when the phone is locked)? Will it become locked and I will have to turn off the security to unlock it? Or is there some sort of trick that the child can use to gain access to the protected data on the iPhone? The answers
