Is Lincoln Lawyer based on a true story?

Is there a season 3 of The Lincoln Lawyer?

Yes! The good folks behind the series just announced that they have already filmed Season 3, for release in 2025. You can read the announcement here. But here's what you really want to know, the trailer video at the link! The Lincoln Lawyer tells the story of Miles Massey, a lawyer who tries his hand at legal gambling. If you are a frequent reader of this blog (or you simply love crime dramas!), then you may already be aware that I personally enjoyed the first two seasons of the series. I liked the character of Miles himself, and of course loved Michael Pena's performance. Now, however, it is unlikely that I will be able to continue watching the series as these episodes will be unlikely to be repeated by any channel that actually carries the series. (How long will it before the first of the next series even gets scheduled!)

Anyway, the third and final season begins here. It looks like it will consist of 12 episodes, and this has only just been confirmed - as with most television programmes now. (The third season has already been filmed! But this just means that it is probably due to be broadcast in May. Not exactly just recently according to the schedule). We shall see!

We can all take some comfort in the fact that the writer, Tony Gilroy, has given no indication that it won't continue - I would guess that, even if we end up with a four- or five-season run, at least the producers and the crew will probably be keen to carry on with the story. (If anything, it is quite possible that we might still see a new season or two after this one.) For more background to the show itself, click here. (It has been an American-produced show, but has had a huge international following! I personally found it most entertaining!

I believe that these episodes will be released on DVD in October. At the moment, however, we have nothing more official than the official press release linked above.

Anyway, back to Season 3: the question which I have been debating since reading the news is when the original writers have been replaced. Is it fair to think that they were replaced?

Is The Lincoln Lawyer worth watching?

The Lincoln Lawyer, starring Edward Burns, Michael Pena and Josh Brolin, is a series about a lawyer who can get out of a lot of sticky situations.

It's in the same vein as Tony Gilroy's Michael Clayton and Michael Mann's Public Enemies, but if that comparison isn't enough of an explanation, it's worth a watch just to see how well the series can be executed.

A little background: When The Lincoln Lawyer was first announced, I was skeptical that it would be worth it. Like most people, I'd heard about the concept and enjoyed the trailer, but what if it didn't live up to the hype? To be fair, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the first season, which is why I'm giving it a try. As an actor myself, I could tell that the creators had put a lot of time and thought into the series, and the talent involved was top-notch.

Here's what's really great about The Lincoln Lawyer: The show doesn't feel rushed. It starts out as a documentary about a private eye who gets pulled into a case that he doesn't initially understand. This is not a show that skips over a lot of the details, and you get a pretty good idea of what's happening before the actual story starts. The pace is so slow that I never felt like the characters were in danger of dying of old age.

The second season picks up right after the first, and we follow the same character Michael Shur, played by Edward Burns as he tries to solve a crime. It's a much bigger mystery, and you're always waiting for something big to happen.

Even though the main character is the same, I think it's safe to say that the second season is better than the first. The actors are really talented, and the writers have done a great job keeping the story going. I think that I'll stick around to find out what happens next.

The show has a nice ensemble cast, with Michael Pena, Josh Brolin, Elizabeth Olsen and Timothy Hutton all playing major roles.

Giveaway. Lincoln Lawyer Season 1. We can't tell you how many episodes you have available to see, but we have a pretty good guess based on current air dates and ratings from Metacritic, which is where the vast majority of critics get their ratings. In the US, we start with an opening weekend of October 29th - November 1st (with the exception of New York, which had to wait until November 13th) and have six episodes in the first block. Then it has another two episodes in the second block on December 6th, and then six episodes in the third block starting January 10th. If those are correct, by December 10th, we should only have five more episodes to go. That's assuming nothing changes or that there is a holiday break after the premiere date. Of course, in the final stretch of an episode's run (between late January/early March), we don't have all 6 episodes available, but just three or four, depending on network scheduling.

Then, after those 11 episodes were recorded, ABC shuffled around which ones got aired in 2014-2015 and released them into syndication, so it took some time for people outside of the US to find out what was available to stream. Now it's all settled. You'll have five episodes on Hulu alone in the next couple weeks, and at least one more per week between April 7th and June 16th.
