How do I save a webpage as a PDF in Chrome on my iPhone?

How do I convert a Web page to PDF on my phone?

If you're one of the many people whose device runs on Android, you're probably familiar with the free app Draw.

Io, which lets you sketch out documents and draw web pages as a PDF on your phone. If you're looking for a companion app for this purpose, you could do much worse than Draw. It was written by the same guys who wrote the original Draw.io app, and includes some new features (like text-selection tools) that make working with a phone's small screen a lot easier.

I reviewed Draw. It has a few rough edges that needed improvement, but the final version of the app has been released today and it's pretty amazing. So let's put those rough edges to rest and cover how to use the app.

Note: Although this app will work perfectly fine for many people, the folks at Draw.io asked me to be sure to point out a couple of details that may have an effect on certain users, but will work for almost everyone. Specifically:

You can't use a WebOS or Linux browser to convert a page, because Adobe's web standards support is much better on Android than on other platforms. If you have a problem where you don't get enough space to sketch a web page or it doesn't render properly in a browser, you can try the native apps (see the About or More info links at the top of this post) instead. If a page has both an iPhone app and an Android app, be sure to use the Android app if you want to use that app's website-to-PDF conversion technology. Some third-party websites are only available as iPhone apps, or only Android apps. To take advantage of the other sites that only exist as iPhone or Android apps, simply open the iPhone or Android app on the phone you'd like to convert a page to PDF, and switch your default device setting to select that phone. Most of the webapps work just fine if you don't select a phone to use.

Setting up. There are two kinds of ways to interact with Draw.

How do I save a Chrome page as a PDF?

I have a webpage that I want to save as a PDF and email it out.

It looks good in Chrome, but the PDF it creates is completely different from what I see in the page. I am using Chrome Version 55.0.2883.95 (64-bit) on Windows 7 and I have the PDF plugin installed. Here is the page:
I have tried a lot of different things like clicking the PDF button on the top right, changing the download options, downloading it to my computer, etc. I have tried going into the developer tools, but there are no errors or warnings. Is there something I am missing?

There's a couple of things to note here: Chrome will not show you the full document unless you ask it to, and will try to fit it on a screen that is smaller than it's actual size. So what you see might be the cropped version, but it's not what you're actually seeing. To see the whole thing, you have to click on the bottom right "Download" button on the page itself, which will let you download the full version of the page.

Chrome has a built-in PDF printer that allows you to print directly from a web page. If you click on the button, it will open a dialog where you can choose to print the current page or to print the current page and all the pages after it (the PDF is saved as a file and can be opened later).

If you just want to print the current page, then go ahead and click the "Print" button on the top left. You can also click on the "PDF" button to open the dialog, but I prefer just clicking on the "Print" button.

How do I save a webpage in Chrome mobile?

I was just on the page and I didn't want to exit out.

So I searched for the button to save the page. But I couldn't find it.

Is there any way to do this in the mobile version of Google Chrome? The save link is not visible on mobile for security reason. And probably won't be made visible as users can close tab/window easily without leaving a clue that a page was opened or not. You can save the current page by pressing the back button, and if it's only an accidental page you want to save, then just exit the app with a double press on home button. To see more information on why back button is hidden and how to use chrome://version/ command line tool see How do I copy the current URL on Android? Chrome's developer tools (F12) will open a developer tools window. In the developer tools, the "Network" tab shows a "save page" icon.
