Is Payscale a good company to work for?

Answer: Payscale is a great place to work and I have made many good friends.

I love the atmosphere and the culture. They're always striving to improve their HR practices. There are some things I wish they did better, but overall I really enjoy it.

I work as an HR Director at a small startup in Boston. The company has been around for over two decades, and it is based on old school principles. Our motto is we believe in treating our employees right, and we believe in the work of our employees. I am the Director of Human Resources and we take all necessary steps to ensure that our employees' health and safety are being taken care of.

Payscale has been a large help to us in regards to recruiting and employee relations. We have a lot of employees and are an international company, so I understand why HR software is not the priority of small businesses.

What do you do? I'm in HR, specifically in recruiting. I try to identify the gaps in the hiring process and see what we can do to improve it. We are always looking for new ways to make the hiring process easier.

How much time do you spend with Payscale? I find myself spending a lot of time with Payscale. I usually get some input from them every week. We have a dedicated tech team at our company that manages the technical aspects of the software, but I am the one to interact with Payscale when we need to ask a question.

What kind of benefits are offered at your company? We offer a lot of benefits. The top benefit that I personally enjoy is the 401k matching program. The match can increase when you have a vested year.

If you are a freelancer, this is a great way to get an added benefit. I have worked at the company for about a year and half and I am still not vested, but I still get to enjoy the benefits. I love this benefit because it is another opportunity to save money!

Are Payscale salaries accurate?

/ The paystubs have all of the correct information, including pay ranges per role and a column for base pay.

I have been looking online to see if it's possible that the pay range is not an accurate reflection of what the employee will make. Can someone please provide some insight on whether or not this is true?

Re: ? Hello -. I am assuming your company uses PayScale for salary guides. If that is the case, the data on the paystub is not 'accurate'. PayScale uses data from PayScale Online, which contains salary survey results for positions at a large number of companies, including yours. For most companies, using only your company's pay information or your own pay history (ie, not paystubs), can skew your pay lower, because you could be missing out on jobs outside your range of experience or roles.

Using PayScale salary surveys results can be misleading, because of the way surveys are often conducted. That's because you need to average the data from many different companies with similar job titles in order to get one representative salary for that position, and that's a challenge given how wide some job title buckets are. So you may find jobs at a company with a wide range of salaries, but their average salary may be more expensive than other companies with narrower salary buckets.

Payscale also needs data from a wide variety of positions at a wide variety of companies (based on the number of people surveyed and the average number of people per job), in order to have enough data to calculate salary averages by location (urban vs. Rural) and industry.

You may find a very detailed article on this matter at. This is especially important as your resume will only show one side of the equation - your own experience. A recruiter or hiring manager may only see your resume and ask a few questions (maybe even none) about your salary. They won't usually know your total compensation package, so they won't know if you're actually being paid too little, unless you tell them.
