How do I download an embedded PDF from Chrome?

How do I extract an embedded PDF?

For a while, the only way I've ever been able to get access to an embedded PDF was to use PdfTool. It provides several methods for extracting PDFs; it works well and is quite easy to use.

But with Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion), I'm finding that PdfTool seems to no longer be able to open some of the documents it can open in the past, or even extract embedded files that used to work. I have several examples of this, and the results are very frustrating. This morning, I spent over 2 hours trying to figure out how to extract the embedded PDF in question from our site; it would be much easier if I could just point my download manager to the file. I'm running out of options, and I'd like to find one.

Has anyone else run into this issue? What have you done to solve it? Is there another tool that will handle these embedded files now that PdfTool will not? Has Apple changed this behavior? I haven't been able to find any evidence of this. This is Apple's attempt at controlling what should be allowed as downloadable content from their stores - so only content from approved sources. If you want to allow downloading your own stuff you should move those files to your own hosting or setup another server to hold that content.

How do I download an embedded PDF from a protected website?

I'm trying to get the first page of a PDF from a protected website, but it's just giving me a blank screen. The following code worked fine on my local machine, but not on our servers: import java.io.IOException;
Import java.net.URL;
Import com.itextpdf.PdfReader;
Import com.PdfWriter; public class App finally. }

Any ideas? I suspect that this is because of your request, which is coming from an unknown client. A web server normally doesn't give out the file content to non-standard clients.

Try to use something like Fiddler to see if the response is OK. It could be that the server doesn't give you any content, in which case the problem lies with your client.

If the request is correct and the server delivers no content, then it is a client issue.

How do I download an embedded PDF from Chrome?

I need to download an embedded PDF file from Chrome. I have tried this solution, but it says there is no PDF file to be downloaded.

The URL of the PDF is: Does anyone have any solutions? Thanks. There are some ways to download such an a pdf from Chrome, but unfortunately it won't work with just any browser as it is supposed to. Here are the steps you should take: Open. Click on Tools (top right corner) -> Web Developer Tools (bottom left corner). In the tab Network, select the option Resources Tab. The network traffic will open. Scroll down and find a request from google-sheets, then you can click on it, as it opens a new tab.

You will see an action button as the last field in the top toolbar. Click on it and save file.

Now you will have downloaded that embedded pdf as a .txt file.

How to download a PDF from a website that is not downloadable?

Hi, I have a project for my school. I need to make an assignment that will download a pdf from a website. I can't access the site because it is password protected. I downloaded Chrome and installed TamperData extension and changed the user agent to another random user agent. That didn't work. I then tried an iPhone browser and changed the user agent and that didn't work either. I'm using a desktop computer and I'm wondering what my best options are? I've been googling for hours and all I can find is how to download it when you know where the download is. Please help!

I also checked under tools and found the tamper data options under chrome but if I uncheck under download manager or cookies I can't uncheck tamper data. It gives me a button to say tamper data.

You say that it is password protected, so what is the website? It doesn't matter what website you use for this. You can use something free and public like Wikipedia, or something for your school. If the website is password protected then you would not be able to access it. So is the website actually password protected? If it is, why would you be asking us how to get around that? You could maybe contact someone at the company who controls the website, but I think it is too late for that.

How did you change the user agent? Did you install a browser (like Firefox or Chrome) on your computer first and then start it? And did you do this right after you downloaded the browser? I don't know if changing the user agent does anything for this. Did you try a different browser? Tamper Data is a Google Chrome add-on, so if you have Chrome, I think you already have Tamper Data. Click on your Tamper Data options on the bottom right, and look for Tamper Data under Cookies and site data. If you want to un-check any of the things listed, just click on it and then press X to cross it out.
