Is there an AI that can find email addresses?
I have a list of email addresses that I'd like to look up.
What are some of the top algorithms out there for finding email addresses? For a start, if you're after an email address, then I'm sure a simple brute force search is all you need. You can start by using a list of common words, such as "support", "sales" and "customer service". Once you've gone through these, you can expand to any other common word that comes to mind. There are many algorithms that can be used to look for patterns in lists of words. This is a very simple form of the more sophisticated problem of Named Entity Recognition (NER). I'd recommend looking at that for ideas on how to perform your search.
I would probably try to parse the domain and use a dictionary for it. That should give you a very good starting point.
If you're willing to use existing data, it's much faster than using an algorithm. For example, I scraped a list of emails from a company that I had a good deal of access to, and it took about ten seconds to pull everything off of it. The problem here was the names (that were already scraped) were in reverse chronological order, so when I searched for the email, it was almost guaranteed to find it. I just didn't have a list of names.
Are there any free email finders?
I'd like something that can find the name of the person a message is from on a given list of email addresses, based on any text in the body of the email.
Sort of like Google's 'whois' function for looking up contact info for domain names. Does such a service exist? If not, does anyone know how to build one?
If there is no ready built one, will someone please post one with some example code to help me along in my endeavors. Preferably a Windows environment, but I have no objection to an Ubuntu-based solution if need be. Thanks.
I've done web searches using a few different options and none have ever done this task out of the box. It just doesn't happen. There were some web app solutions which are kind of fun to use for quick results, but as far as doing more work (involving parsing emails and/or doing a full search against mailing lists) - you just cannot do it on your own from those solutions without writing custom code.
If you want to write code, it's not that hard, but I do think there are a lot of people who would charge a very large fee, or simply would not do the job well enough for you. Plus, you really can't beat what the likes of Gmail, Outlook, and Yahoo offer for free. It's nice not being forced to enter in long URLs into the address bar.and I like seeing all that other data in each email as well.
You can always get a tool (such as EmailBender) to act as your parser to build a database of email subject, sender, date and all this other stuff. Then you could create some PHP code that runs a search on a mail server by keyword. The best part is that if that email happens to bounce out of a mail server (or to your domain), that error message tells you exactly where it went. You could then run through that "whois" list you made up.
I actually built a class I called PhpMailSearcher to allow me to run my mailings on my own servers. I did however include some php parsing to make sure mail is formatted correctly. It will work with almost any version of PHP you care to name. I posted to www.smu.edu, so you could try that too if you want.
My last bit of advice is - get a domain name.
Is Hunter email finder free?
I have been searching high and low for a FREE email finder?
I want something that will search the internet for an email address or email address that I provide it. If the email is found it saves it to my email (not mine). Now a simple way of explaining this is that you go to your email, and find a new message that you were not aware of. Once you are done looking for the email it will be saved into your email. Is there a simple way of doing this, like you type in your email or a number of emails and your done, you dont need to type in new addresses and search over and over.
I'm trying to do the same thing.I was wondering if there was a piece of software out there that would do all of that for me? Maybe something similar to a Gmail inbox where I could type in say @yahoo.com and it will save it to Yahoo! mail and search the internet for a yahoo email address?
I found several different types of programs that might be able to help you, but they aren't free. Here's a couple that you can install: The Free version of the Email Hunter is very limited in its functionality, and you'll find that you can make less than one-thousand emails per day. However, at no cost at all, you can download the FULL version which contains all of the features listed above. Once you're happy with the basic Email Hunter, you can always upgrade to the FULL version at anytime. It's easy, just login to your EMC Account, click the "Upgrade" button and choose the upgrade option you want.
The Full version of the Email Hunter comes with all of the Email Hunter's new features. These features include: Unlimited search of both the internet and your EMC Contacts for email addresses - The ability to create new email accounts and import your existing ones from any source. The ability to search for an email address within your Contacts. The ability to add a contact to a folder based on the address, phone number or email address of that contact. The ability to add an account from any type of online provider you like. Advanced options for custom searches that allows you to search the web for the specific service, the type of contact, the subject, keywords, etc.
Addresses can be added to folders for ease of organization.
